I am so happy for them! I've known Ruth for a very long time and I wish them both every blessing.
I was an Anglican priest for more than 20 years and am now with the Community Catholic Church (Old Catholic) and am delighted to be involved in an inclusive, progressive church that celebrates same-sex weddings and honours the diversity of ALL the children of Creator.

No Christian church blesses what God commands against repeatedly:

Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals"

1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers"

Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."

Gen 19:5-8 "and they called to Lot and said to him,'Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.' But Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him, and said,'Please, my brothers, do not act wickedly.'"

Celt,
Why do you see the splinter in your brothers eye and not the telephone poll sticking out of your own?

"Let him who has no sin cast the first stone"

"God will have mercy on whom ever he chooses to have mercy on"

" above all else hang these two laws around your neck, love the lord your god with all your might, and love your neighbor as yourself."
Do you love these two women Celt?

I'm glad that the every person that has responded here is happy for the couple. Trolls do not count as people. It is a choice to be a troll; a controllable habit and a soon to be peer reviewed research project that proves "trolls" need psychological help.

Yes, you seem to have quoted all the pertinent passages from the Old Testament and a few from Paul. I am not about to quarrel or get into a theological debate. If you knew how scripture came to be pulled together and how many hands have edited passages over the centuries, you couldn't possibly be so confident in this tired argument.
What did Jesus say? How did Jesus act? What would Jesus do?
He would have turned water into wine at their wedding and celebrated their love.
Remember: judge not, lest ye be judged...

to Quote William Jefferson Clinton, "I did not have sex with that woman"
SEx might by definition include the possibility of procreation,n'cest pas?
All the other acts possible can be found in Psch. 101 study of deviance, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Marriage if redfined migfht include cats or dogs that i have loved, but i never had sex with them.
Partnerships of the sort contemplated hace been going on for milleniums, so what's the deal here?\
A tax grab big time , Married persons can only claim one principle residence to get a capital gains tax free status when sold.
If both parties did not marry each would have that option ,if each owned a home.
Hope these two got that advice before hand.

Christianity accepts unconditional love and always has, it's just far too many of the so called Christians that seem to have difficulty practicing the concept...

You are right, I should have said some Christians need to accept unconditional love.

Not a Christian or any
Abrahamic based religion, I can say only a man's sperm and women's egg can create a child,so why be married?
To take an orphan for care perhaps?
Or are people just interesred in approval from the state, how sad.
Marriage as a stste registered item should be eliminated, all can live as they wish, taxes shouldn't be based on marital status.
At least that's what would be in my world.
I am very suspicious of gov't motives: more tax revenue is the goal here.
One person can declare one principle residence, Two can have two, a married couple only one principle res. So you can see a capital gains free benefit on principle res. can be eliminated if two people get married.
One principle res. is then taxed on capital gain.
Lovely , live in peace but only after you sell one residence , don't get caught paying more tax then you should ,
