Poor Amish girls

It breaks my heart to see such lovely girls being forced to spend time isolated from the rest of society and forced to work selling food at markets when they would much rather be somewhere else. Youth is special time of life that will go by too quickly. If the only memories they have is selling food in a market while being supervised to the point where no one dare look at them, that is a memory no one should inflict on anyone else-especially not in the name of religion.
Of course the ones doing it are the very ones who had their youth ruined that way and maybe felt comfy with it. But times change and girls today aren't 't as comfy with being constantly bossed around as our grandmothers were. At the end, when all is said and done, these precious years will be past and no amount of regrets or lamentations will bring them back. Give these girls some breathing room for crying out loud.

As christian the only attempt I would make toward an Amish woman is one that involves marriage as an outcome. So if they are imagining anything else that is their problem as Christians not mine.
