Quite right. I've read so much about the fighting within their own religion...I suppose that takes a back seat to their fighting with the rest of the world-in my mind. In college, I was taught that Islam is such a peaceful religion and that muslims are just so misunderstood. I believed that rot until I bought myslef a qu'ran to prove to people how "peacefel" musllins are. The qu'ran tells muslims to try to convert, but if that fails kill them all. I was shocked that I had been lied to. I see now that there are still people who believe the lie that I was taught.

umm, nope the Quran doesn't say that. The verses of fighting that so often are misread and misconstrued teach Muslims how to fight if a fight happens (i.e. slay them where you find them), but they do not instruct Muslims to initiate offensive wars.

It doesn't matter in the least what the koran says because the True Living Word of God (The Bible) says Christians are not to be unequally yoked together with non-believers. What Communion hath Light with darkness? Either you believe the Word of the Living God or you do not, and follow the sinful words of men and darkness.

Who said that only Malays get free college education? It is not free ok..its consider as a education loan..We must pay back after graduate. Malays are not Muslims and Muslims are not Malays.Muslims are worldwide. Anybody can be Muslims.

i can't speak about iran and what they do. i don't live there, and i have not fully studied how they operate.

as to your other question: firstly, islam encourages muslims to marry muslims simply because their faith will be rooted in the belief of the unity of one god and not polytheism. polytheism is deemed to be detrimental to the benefit of humanity for many reasons [and i will not go into that here].

if muslims step outside of islam to marry, then muslim men are instructed to only marry people of the book; that would be people of the abrahamic faith- judaism & christianity. the reason being is because both religions share the same roots as islam. both religions share the belief in ONE god and not many. now yes, it may get a little funky with certain christian denominations, but as a whole, both of those religions still share the same origins and basic beliefs.

when it comes to muslim women, islam instructs muslim women to only marry muslim men. this is not a thing of prejudice. the reason this is is because in general, not always mind you, but in general, when marriages take place, many women will follow their husbands. this is not a bad thing. it just seems to be human nature. many women trust their husbands and follow their lead. again, this is not all women. this is in general. many women also tend to adopt the religion of their husbands or allow the husband to raise the children in their (the husband's) religion. again this is in general not always.

islam places the responsibility on men to stand up and be pious spiritual leaders of their families [actually, judaism and christianity do the same]. it places the responsibility on men, not because men are necessarily smarter or because women are weak. it just places the responsibility of being pious spiritual leaders of the household in men's hands, and islam instructs men to take care of the responsibility they have been given and to not neglect or abuse their duties. again, this is not to say that women cannot be strong spiritual leaders as well. islam just places other responsibilities in the hands of women and makes it clear that men are to carry this particular responsibility.

islam understands that pious and thoughtful muslim men will raise their children as pious and thoughtful muslims in an educated and healthy islamic way. so this is why it allows muslim men to marry outside of islam to christians and jews. it does not encourage this mind you. but it does allow it. again, it does not allow women to marry outside of islam because in general, not always, but in general, women will follow their husbands and they may raise their children in whatever faith the husband may be.

with that being said, there is also important matters to note:

if a muslim man decides to marry a jewish woman or christian woman, the wife is not required to convert to islam. the husband can share with his wife the teachings of islam, but the wife is under no obligation at all to convert. she is totally free to retain and practice the faith that she originates from.

and obviously, before a muslim man marries outside of his faith to a jewish woman or christian women, he must make it clear that he wants to raise his children muslim. he must not keep this as a secret only to surprise it on his wife later when they are already married. he must mention this before, and if the woman accepts this, then he can move forward with the marriage. if the woman does not want this, then he is instructed to let her be and find someone else and not force her into his way of thinking.

now, at the end of the day, all people in islam have freedom of choice. so if a muslim man or muslim woman wanted to marry whoever they wanted regardless of their faith, if they want to marry someone who believes that a BRICK was god, then so be it. it is highly discouraged, but at the end of the day, you have freedom of choice and the matter rests between that muslim and god. there is no islamic law that calls for any punishing of any man or women that marry whomever they please. and when it is all said and done, god knows best.
