Just a note - Jesus told us not to try to anticipate when the world will end, but that's all the JW's do. Why, I wonder? It will end when it will end, and that's it.

How sad must a persons life be for them to spend it yearning for doomsday?

Maybe I'm just being a bad Christian, but Jesus was pretty clear about us not knowing the time or hour. So, if John of Patamos suddenly gives a detailed itinerary, I'm a bit reticent to follow ass over ears what Revelations has to say.
Well... Yahushua said that we will know when the world is coming to an end by "signs and times", but that no one knows the day or the hour (specific times) that these things will happen. However, the signs that will accurately foretell the nearing of the end is what is written in the book of Revelation. When God has the angels sound the first four trumpets, where a third of many things will be destroyed, that would be a clear indication that we are in the end. The four trumpets are: 1/3rd of the food, green grass and trees are burnt up; then 1/3 of the ocean will run red with blood and 1/3 of all naval vessels will be destroyed; then 1/3 of the drinking water will be destroyed by some cataclysmic event; then 1/3 of the day and night will be blotted out. After that, the first woe...the 5th trumpet will sound and the Anti-Christ will be loosed from the Abussos (abyss). Right now, we are good, but these events are on their way to happen. These things will even happen before or around the time Benedict dies, then watch out because our Lord Yahushua will be coming to judge us ALL!

Why would anyone look for such horror?
it is possible though.

read rev. 21;1

it's about the shifting magnetic poles. you as a catholic can relate to this. the wobble of the north magnetic pole began on good friday 1964 with the alaskan quake, the top of the pacific rim

40 years later, on the day after christmas, right in thee middle of the pacific rim, jakarta

a nice 40 year judgement period during which the swing 60's come out of hollywood, encompasses the world & generations are ripe for judgement. 7 years later, japan goes off & here we are a couple years after, or 9 years, another kabalistic #

suppose the south magnetic pole jumps right to jerusalem, right over the temple mount causing so-o much seismic activity. a great earthquake is mentioned 5 times in revelations.

recently i learned of an ocean trench of japan that will send a 120+ tsunami toward japan! imagine what will hit the west coast

the trenches crack, tsunami's all over he place & then they drain off, leaving jerusalem the center of the new earth & most of the world drown, crushed or worse.

these might be the last 3 months of our lives!

a catholic too, an A-typical schizophrenic, one who has according to the psychiatric community valid religious experiences, well i used too. yellowstone will erupt and when thing settle down, there will be a land level volcanic pit = the lake of fire and brimestone

been to confession lately?

If only I could be sure...and remember, I've never said I was an atheist, only that I have doubts. Who doesn't at times?

Here's a perfectly plausible question though. If and when the earth comes to an end, will it be just this one little planet or the entire universe? To think that only one little celestial body will go *poof* is rather silly, to say nothing of irrational. Do you have an answer for that?

We'll each have our own individual "doomsday" when the time comes for us to die, as God has appointed. So why waste time worrying about a "universe" ending?

the universe is all ready being gobbled up by black holes. upon the return of the messiah the universe aside from this galaxy iop simple comes to an end. the presence of god in jerusalem, christ on the throne & the holy spirit will be here, what use is the rest of the universe?

we here in north/south america? were are all pretty much goners

And just whom is it that ensures this "Rapture"? Pat Robertson? Benny Hinn?

i told you, i'm a baptized and confirmed catholic, or maybe i didn't. but i've had 'experiences' supporting it.

i'm not a fan of unorthodox Christianity

the church doesn't support it, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Belief in a rapture is no hope, it's a myth that makes marginally sane people go over the edge and lose all reason.

what difference will this make? good question though. heard those that follow Jesus will be zapped up in a snap. Will not have to experience the dreaded end of the world calamity. lets hope so.
