That's a bit of a stretch. My family is predominately Catholic (I'm the black sheep), and I also have good friends that are atheists. Some of my family members border on materialistic, but most of my friends are quite charitable.<quoted text>
That is one of the reasons I don't send my daughter to a public school. Unfortunately, this country -including people like Maher and many other posters here - and other parts of the world are living a new religion. The religion of "me-ism." THe other big one "consumerism" These usually go hand in hand. THe me-ists are so involved in themselves, and think there is no one greater. They feel they are accountable to no one. This is very dangerous. People feel entitled to do whatever they want because they don't think there are consequences. They worship THEMSELVES. FOOLISH. Foolish people indeed. May there eyes and hearts open up.
The majority of posters that agree with Maher strike me as intelligent and reasonable. They just do not believe in God. So what?
