Documentary offers Bible lessons in gay rights

Daniel Karslake's documentary "For the Bible Tells Me So" won't win any prizes for technique, but innovation surely ranks very low on this filmmaker's to-do list. Karslake has said that the movie is mainly intended as a feature-length primer that can be deployed in arguments with homophobes.

Just wait until the bible-thumpers, self-righeous and homophoebic bigots get a hold of this! They will be quoting lines from the Bible, dictionaries and even the telephone book in an effort to prove themselves correct!

I would rather be called a Bible Thumper and speak the truth. Living the homosexual lifestyle is a sin. It is not a question of being Self-Righteous. It is a question of speaking the truth.

No one has to prove themselves correct about homosexuality or lesbianism. But what these whacko gays do is try to force us to accept a behavior that animals would never degrade themselves to do! If you are gay, stay celibate.

I'm still wondering how long it will be before gay people decide to take a religious stand for their rights. If they would just say that it is their religious belief that same sex partnerships were ok, then they would eliminate any and all "oppression" under religious protection. The only problem for them is that they would have to admit that it is a belief or choice and not the position that they were born this way. The other thing that baffles me is that if it were proven that there is a "gay gene", then we could "cure" homosexuality with gene therapy. How many would volunteer for that?

I saw the movie. It's not the best I've seen, but I thought it was well done and put forth its point quite well.
Some say that Jesus taught to hate sin but love the sinner. These comments above indicate hatred of the sinner. They are not following what is supposedly the teaching of Jesus.

In addition if one will not heed the Christian Bible and is a believer in the evolutionary theory dogma. Consider this, according to evolutionary theory of a species over time evolving and progressing and becoming better and stronger and and possessing a survival instinct. Why would that species violate the very basic premise of survival and refuse to reproduce itself or be involved in activity contrary to its very existence and perpetuation of the species. In evolutionary logic homosex carried to its conclusion would eliminate itself. This would be considered a virulent mutation threatening the species very survival.

But really, just one point. Homosexuality is not a movement to conquer or convert everyone. Homosexuality is and has always been a given percentage of the population as created by God.
And hey, Jose: I hate to break the news to you, homosexuality is vert prevalent in the animal kingdom. I suggest you stop thinking about actions and parts, start thinking about hearts.

How do you get around two different creation stories in Genesis?
