Richest 100 people could end global poverty four times over, says Oxfam

An explosion in extreme wealth is exacerbating inequality and hindering the world's ability to tackle poverty together, Oxfam warned this weekend in a briefing published ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos next week.

RE: Richest 100 people could end global poverty four times over, says Oxfam
..... Poverty is the result of insufficient income and/or of too much spending. There are very many people all over this planet who are poor, too poor to move away from famine areas to where jobs are, and too poor to get more and better education, so that they can be employed somewhere. There are lots of jobs available, but not enough people who have enough and relevant education to do whatever would be needed to do in those jobs.
..... I am reminded of a story that is supposed to have happened in India many years ago: A very rich man there was asked by a very poor man to give him "his fair share" of all that money. There are very many people living in India, and the very rich man pulled out of his pocket what we here would call the equivalent of a dime, and gave it to the very poor man, as being what he wanted, his share.

Poverty comes as a result of breaking the laws of God. Any outside help is only temporary unless a person responds to the message of Christ, obedience to God and to His Word, tithes and gives, and works, and listens to God's direction on how to prosper. Just giving money only is not the solution. There has to be a Godward response from the person being helped.

Money and material things will be meaningless when we die. The most important thing is our eternal destiny.

How to be saved.

Your self righteous attitude is so typical of you fundies. Your cult has eradicated all feelings of sympathy and empathy towards those you consider to be outside your fundie mindset. Decent people help those in desperate need because they are in desperate need. That help comes with no strings attatched and until you fundies grasp that fact you will continue to be the social lepers that you are!

The United States economy produces 15 Trillion a year and there is still poverty in America.(Obama and Congress is spending 16 Trillion a year). Back in 2008, Reader's Digest published an article discussing how the federal government waste almost 1 Trillion Dollars a year, yet who expects 100 people to devote their income to eradicating poverty when the federal government is a tax, spend, and waste machine? What we seem to have here is more hatred for the wealthy by liberals who believe that one's earned income does not belong to the earners--it belongs to everyone.

The war on drugs alone is a Trillion Dollar failure. So 1 Trillion wasted on the drug war since 1970. Hmmmm...Maybe it would have been better spent on feeding and educating the poor. How much money should voters allow the government to waste? Why are voters looking at the 100 most richest people, yet ignore government wasteful spending. It's called coveting someone else's riches and hating them for being so rich in the first place.

Yet when it comes to government waste of trillions of dollars, people look the other way because the Cult of Politics and making sure your party is in office is more important than holding elected officials responsible, being honest, and getting ride of the political hacks. It's much easier to hate rich folks and eventually demand they give their money to the poor or else.

Losers!
