Ohio Church Says No Kissing, Tickling Kids

Great news. This shows that that church is making progress in protecting children.

I am thinking that there are some other things they may want to tell them not to do as well.

There might also be an added rule...No priest is to be alone with a child period.

No ticking or kissing, but you can have them on their knees, bent over a table, etc, but no kissing/tickling.

Shame that has to be done. Kids need hugs and to rough house.

This is really getting to be ridiculous. Pretty soon every diocese will mandate priests walk around in straightjackets. It is a sad day for the Church when no more tactility is allowed. What would the Founder do????

True, now I hope people will see that the Church is serious about correcting it's errors on how they handled this scandal in the past.

I wish employers and bosses in general would be told the same thing!!

What's sad is that so many "churches" and "Christians" are putting so many stupid limitations on the people within the congregation and the pastors. Seriously- what's up with the no roughhousing, no kissing, no hugging? That's crazy!

I mean, it adresses immorality and sexual purity outside of marriiage, but it never said anything about a hugg or rough housing.
I think the whole thing is about control. Everyone wants to control everyone else. It's pride and pride is the worst sin. It infects people and Jesus said, "A prostitute will get into Heaven befor a man infected with pride."

What does the bible say about "men of god" playing grabass and ruining the lives of countless children, only to be protected by the church and relocated to avoid prosecution?

what the h3ll is the difference what a book says, this is common sense...

Until the church allows priests to marry there are going to be major problems with pedophiles...I realize this is tradition, but then again, so is priests banging kids...these churches are like dating sites for these guys, they have their pick of kids, and zero fear of getting caught...someone makes a stink or goes to the cops, and the church sends this priest to another church...

no tickling? who cares? let's take care of the big problem, not just what looks to be a sign of a problem
