I do have to say that it is annoying when someone damn near runs you off the road and you go by them and they are texting. Just call whoever it is your talking to.

I believe that cell phone use should be treated exactly the same as any other driving while ability impaired situation. We need to crack down on cell phone use while driving. I am not talking about people who use anything hands free, that would be exempt since it is not anymore distracting then changing the radio station. But anyone who puts the phone to their ear or is texting should face hefty fines, and even jail time.

Colorado drivers are dangerous even when they are sober, have both hands on the steering wheel and driving in broad day light.

Study after study proves that cell phone use while driving is as dangerous as drinking and driving and texting is worse. Even hands free devices are dangerous because the same part of the brain required for phone conversations is used for driving.

Every time I see someone who can't stay in their lane, go when the light turns green or stop when it turns red I look and they're on their cell phone.

The car manufacturers are now working on a way to block the signal in a vehicle when it is running but it will be some time before it makes it to the market.

When I see someone in front of me texting and weaving from lane to lane the last thing I want to do is go around them and get in front of them. Think about it, do you really want to get in front of a texting driver? I would rather keep my distance behind them and they usually end up plowing into someone that went around them and got caught at a red light. Then I drive by and laugh at both of them, the driver that went around and got in front of the texter is just as big and idiot as the texter.
So please people, put the phone down and just drive so I don't have to see your airbag in your face.
