MAS...good comment. I didn't even think of that!! That doctor just told the world all about her medical procedure or maybe he doesn't think plastic surgery is a "real" medical procedure covered by the HIPPA regulations (patient privacy). The IJ though should have known this too and not printed that information. Shame on both parties - the doctor and the reporter.

Don't believe everything you read..MyCommentary2 in particular. I did cancel my debit card and everything else when my purse was stolen. Londie Bowman victimized me in a way that has disrupted my entire life and this story only tells a small portion of what she has done, the plasitc surgery is merely what got her caught! The nerve to call me an idiot. As for the confidentiality....since she was posing as ME, I give full consent for the release of all information and she can sit in jail for a very long time. Mabey I will be able to get the paper to tell the whole story and the full extent of how she has turned my life upside down!

To the victim..mycommentary is the idiot for the kneejerk thoughtless blame-the-victim remarks. Even if you had not canceled the debit card, Bowman would be just as guilty. This doctor sounds fishy, though. His staff should have questioned the fact that card would not go through. They should have called the bank themselves rather than allow the perp to hand them a telephone from a"bank." Moreover, as a health professional, I am obligated to observe the HIPAA laws, which restrict the release of all personal or medical information except under very specific conditions. While i have ZERO interest in protecting this perps privacy, I am nevertheless amazed that a physician would risk a lawsuit, or even the suspension of his license by describing Bowman's-not your-body, procedures, aftermath, etc. I wish you all the best in getting through this ordeal. I hope there is a way to compel her to make restitution to you.

The doctor and his staff should have checked her for proper ID prior to operating on her. This is standard practice at all hospitals to prevent operating on the wrong patient and fraud (use of another's insurance or credit card). He also should not comment on her medical condition: it is a HIPPA violation even though she is a crook.
