I don't think child molesters are treated in prison nearly the way they were back 'in the day'.

The reason for this is the modern discipline/reward system set up in prisons and jails, most people don't want to kick someones ass and risk loosing early release or spend an unknown stretch in isolation. Overall I'm happy to see this, as less violence in these settings is a good thing.

I don't know what we should do with child molesters, but it needs to be very harsh, especially with repeat offenders. A child who is violated sexually has a good chance of living their whole life with issues and fears the rest of us can't imagine. Taking a child's innocence and ruining their life is worse than murder, where life is just ended, in my book.
Agree with your last sentence 100%

I agree, why so many years pass, now they claim they have evidence. I am not taking up for this guy in any way, but people don't know the case. I know a lot of teens that like so much drama and make up shit just for kicks and giggles. If he did do this sick shit he should pay. The accusation goes way back to the earlier decade of 2000 and is not something that happened yesterday. Like I said before I am not taking up for this guy, but I have to think logical and I don't know the evidence.

If they're in prison, they can't repeat the offense.
A child who is violated sexually has a good chance of living their whole life with issues and fears the rest of us can't imagine.
Or grow up thinking that how they were treated was "normal" and repeat it themselves.
Taking a child's innocence and ruining their life is worse than murder, where life is just ended, in my book.
Except for the possibility of recovery.

No, child molesters aren't treated today in prison as they were years ago. More than anything, they are extorted, and protected. Trust me on this. The same rule applies as in the old days though, if someone beats down a cho mo, most of the time they are rewarded by the inmates, but punished by the staff. Only because the staff don't want to deal with the backlash of the inmates family when he has to sit in the infirmary for months at a time healing, and noone knows why. The old timers that are child molesters are usually transfered and housed at PCI, which has like a mini hospital that they all stay in. No other inmates can get in there except for workers, that are watched by c.o's *well supposed to be*. The biggest problem right now in the prison system is these young punks that are forming little gangs and jumping people right and left for food, shoes, you name it. The AB has always been there, but these new ones don't even offer someone to give them a percent of their commisary, they just bust in, jump the person, and kick that box down. Sad. Even worse those who fight back end up in the hole just as well as the one who started it. Most of the time they end up transfering out the one that got jumped to prevent retaliation. Sickening. I say let the man protect himself and fuckin stab one of them lil shitheaded cowards like they did it back in the old day n watch all this shit stop.

I know a lot about the prison system and once a sex offender always a sex offender. Sex offenders go to prison and sexually act out because there is not enough people to watch them and it is more accepted by the other inmates, One Officer in dorm at night with 250 inmates. Also the inmates know everything and when you have the staff sexually acting out, for instance read the Dayton Daily news and see how the Warden was allowing Staff to sexually act out and instead of firing him they put him Central Office. I am not a inmate so that narrows down things for you I am not disgruntled but what is about right and cost conscienous. Also the environment at CCI is terrible and if you are staff and not accepted they do terrible things to you, They hide the truth just like everybody else. Example Penn State. I read everything I can to stay educated and watch and listen and bring things up that are right no matter what the consequences. Don't think they aren't monitoring this site because they are and I don't care, Besides they knew this guy had problems maybe not this severe but they could have done something to save this year old.

Also why does it always have to be a disgruntled employee or a x inmate when you have an opinion. Just to clarify sexually acting out is when the inmates are harrassing other inmates for inappropriate sex and when supervisory staff is having sex with someone they supervise for some underlying reason like promotion and it happens in there all the time

The problem with the death penalty is that you can't undo it if you later discovered you made a mistake (and hundreds of false convictions for child molestation have been made).

Perhaps he should be found guilty first? You know, innocent until he isn't. The articles in the Gazette, along with the ridiculous mugshot looks like typical Ross County justice at its best. Let the man have a trial before passing judgment!

your going to break a few eggs, i say if your sentenced to die take them out back and put them down or lynch them in front of the court house. so what if a few "innocent" people die, bet you any thing they did something to even be considered for a crime like that

Some people can't see something unless it's their ox being gored. If it were YOU who were falsely convicted, would you want society to say "So what if a few innocent people die"?

I'd bet not.
