This was my son who was murder in this god for saken place. Yes he done wrong and was doing the time for his crime. But no way did he deserve this and I belive there is more to this then we know. But we will get to the bottom of this. There is no cooperation with the facilty, no information but yet it hit the press before all the family was notified. I belive this is a cover up and justice will be serverd!

I am so so sorry that that has happen to your son . I myself am dealing with walbash on my son behalf and can never get any answer either. It has tobe some we has parents can do to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone elses son. My son is still there at walbash in the mental health unit but is getting very poor treat. He is in bad shape with the meds they put them on. I don't know if your son took meds but I do know for myself that the inmates are over medicated.I have been talking to doctors about my son meds an they have inform me that he is over medicated and that it my be permanent damage done from what I have told them I have witness. My heart goes out to you and I hope you do get the answers you deserve. Good Luck and May God Bless an keep you

I am the mother of the deceased inmate. My son was coming home to start a new life. Instead someone took his life. I still have no answers, no explanation. In fact the prison representative who is publishing everything all over the internet, newspapers, television all over the state of Indiana, Rich Larsen, hung up on me when I identified myself and my son's mother and just wanted to know what happened to my son. To this date NO ONE has given me any answers. In fact, I the mother to the deceased, has to hear that my son was killed over the telephone while sitting on the side of the road by someone other than the prison. I am his mother! I am his next of kin. The prison had my contact information. Like his father said previously, our son paid his price for his crime. It was time for him to come home and start anew. He's not just anyone, he's my son and I deserve some answers as to what happened to him just 1 month before his release.

I am so sorry for your lost. My son was also killed in prison. He was serving one year and was killed 4 month before his release date. My son was hit one time on the head and was taken from me. Its been 2 years and I don't know who took him away from me and I don't know if i will ever find out. I have tried to get help but can't afford the help. I wish you the best of luck and once again I am so sorry.

I am sorry for your loss too. The local prosecutor should have filed a murder charge. You could try checking with that office. You could also get his medical record from the hospital they took him to. You don't need an attorney for that. You also don't need an attorney for the autopsy report as I assume they did one and the medical record would say who did it. Google your son's name and see what news articles come up. My son's articles gives me the name of the person who killed him and was charged with murder and thats the only way I knew who did it at first. If there were a lot of people around him they may not know exactly who did it if no one wanted to talk.(usually out of fear for their own life) You are legally entitled to his personal belongings. Call the prison internal affairs office and they should be able to get you the paperwork as there would have been an internal investigation at that time. They may be able to tell you who took your son if they know. The prison should also have a victim advocate they can refer you to and that person should be able to get you some information also. Don't take "NO" or "I don't know" for an answer. If your son wasn't married then you are next of kin and legally entitled to this information. Did you get a death certificate? I didn't even get that and now I'm sending for one on my own. I will keep you in my prayer and hope you some day get your answers too. Hope this information was helpful and again I am sooooo sorry for your loss.

This beautiful angel who was brutally taken was my brother. It is so sad to know that things like this happen in the first place. He was sentenced for years for his crimeand was almost done with his time. He was not sentenced to the death penalty so why did he have to die inside? Y is it legal for the press to know before the family. I wanna know when u r in the special needs unit you are there for a reason right? So do they look at each person medical condition and them decide who cell mates? you wouldnt put a person who had 5 personalitys in a cell with someone who had slite bipolar would ? We as a family deserve answers and deserve to know wat happend? My mom was told by someone from the prison that there was cameras an guards there so where is the tape? who has looked it over? We may never know why it happend but we would at least like to have our questions answered. I LOVE YOU BUB. U WILL FOREVER BE MISSED. BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.

my heart goes out to you, and i'm very sorry for your loss. i'd like to remind you that every detail comes out in a lawsuit. the jail will tell everything they know in order to save themselves before the court. you as his next of kin have every right to sue them. going this route can provide you some closure, and if your awarded damages you will make this jail a liability to their state. very sorry for your loss.

my son is also in wvcf. i live in fear of his life every day, there is corruption in the system. judges are handing down unbalanced sentencing for
crimes, child molesters are getting two years-out in one. how many families must bear the burden before we all have our voices heard? all concerned citizens should email our govenor, congress, senators, make our votes count, nothing will change until we come together and make a noise too loud to ignore. these judges make decisions that lack insight, compassion and wisdom. i will stand up, i work, pay taxes, vote, and would be more than willing to go door to door to let everyone know what is happening. if we don't come together soon it may be someone you love.

Well I intend to stand up for my son that was murdered at WVCF mental health unit Aug. 22, 2009. The Larry King Live show has invited me to appear and I along with my attorney plan to attend. Yes, there is a lawsuit. I want some changes and intend to hit them where it hurts. My son had 38 days to come home and he did NOT deserve to die. feel free to contact me at eutsey119@hotmail.com if you just need to talk.

Our legal system is corrupt, and I am praying for God to lead me in a way to OPEN MORE EYES!! I am sickened by every aspect of it. THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WE CAN DO, COMING TOGETHER AND BEING HEARD! GOD KNOWS, these people who run our legal system, from the cops to the judge... they will get what is coming to them... God promises that!

Blessings to all who have to deal with this corrupt system. My heart is breaking and, My heart breaks for all of you!

Help!!! I need some advice on how I can advocate for my son. He has been in the prison system for 4 years. He was suppose to come home this month but got into a problem and they gave him another year. My son is on some c status for 90 days and now they want to put him in c/c 1block. He told me that it is worse there and he doesnt think he will make it out. He is only 22 I feel helpless and scared for him. I want to know if there is anyone out there with advice on how I can stop that move that they are planning to do. Thanks

I don't know who you are but I believe you are cold hearted and insensitive. I would be willing to bet you have not lived a sparkling clean life yourself, you just didn't get caught and have to own up to your poor judgement actions. You really need to search your own soul, provided you have one, before you make thoughtless statements as to someone else's misfortune.
