Well so the point here supposedly is THERE WAS NO CRIME COMMITTED DUE TO RACE OR A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP - it was because of an accusation of theft. Well if the race factor was taken out, perhaps the folks would get less time. I'm suprised the Brewster lady even said Meagan was lying NOW - since she pled guilty before, guess she didn't have an opportunity to tell what really happened.

Anyway a crime did happen - they all deserve to be in jail but I'm beginning to wonder if Meagan should not be put in an mental institution for her own protection and to protect her from LYING against others who actually may be totally innocent, not partly.

i agree,..i think her mom had something to do w/ most of the race stuff....but i dont know forsure..that is just my opinion...those ppl couldnt have been too prejudice against blks or they wouldnt have had her down there in the first pl. and that boy wouldnt have been dating her .....so i agree something needs to be done before she blaims another incocent person of a hate crime or something serious as that

I agree w/agree! lol I think that the race stuff was pushed too far by lawyers and others. I think it was actually sterotyping the people in Logan county and others in the southern part of the state. It would have made more sense if this young lady had been abducted and then tortured but she was invited by her boyfriend. I never completely agreed or understood how any of that story could be a hate crime.
I also think that Ms Brewster is doing the right thing by admitting what they did wrong. I just don't understand Williams' reasoning for trying to recant anything. What is the purpose? And she truly does need some major professional help.

did you see her and the mother on the montel show? when it was time for megan to speak, it seemed as if she was smiling about the situaltion,..and the times i saw her talk about it....she was more amazed by the fact that she was a "superstar" than affected by the facts of what she ws alleging happ. to her......and the way they had her fixed up like her hair for example did not suit her at all...not that that has anything to do w/ it,..but they had her looking rediculous....i wonder how many more guys she will meet online off of that pc that montel gave her...lol...i'm sorry but this whole thing and the way they made logan county look was bs i am from there and they made it look like the wrong turn movie on the news...

This case was a big joke! Frankie and her son definaty should have went to prison cause Frankie Brewster bragged about what she did!!! But Alisha and Karen were innocent. I was in prison with all of them and watched Karen and Alisha an were very good friends with them both. The girl also told them that a lot of it was lies and that Karen and Alisha did nothing wrong but the state wouldn't give them a new trial because of all the publicity
