Condemned killer influenced by faith in request for last meal

Convicted killer Vernon Smith, scheduled to be executed tomorrow for a murder in Toledo, has requested one of the more unusual "last meals" in Ohio's 10 years of capital punishment cases.

Smith, who converted to Islam and changed his name to Abdullah Sharif Kaazim Mahdi while in prison, is to be executed for murdering Sohail Darwish, a 28-year-old immigrant and father, during a convenience store robbery ...

Now that he has accepted Islamic faith, do you think they should not grant his last request?

This man, is being put to death to be punnished for breaking a major law...he murdered another human being. And in his state the punnishment is death. so he will be paying the ultimate price for his crime.
What is between this man and God...is personal.
As a man, about to die...he still deserves a level of dignity.
His last wishes, within reason, and if obtainable...should be granted to him the same as they would be to anyone else.

I agree let him enjoy a consideration he did not provide to his victim to prove the almighty is gracious and forgiving,
and since he has overcome as the lord says let him be given peace and walk with the lord I'm glad to see the daughters will be finally given justice for this terrible crime but they should not bare witness to his death.

I do agree that he is purified after agreeing he wronged this family and turned to GOD repenting of his former self and crimes.

But God and Allah both state punishment for the spilling of innocent blood deserves death,
now the daughters will have the same chance that this man had for the murder of their father they are owed the spilling of this mans blood fo recompensation.
