i think that it is crazy how the people treat the inmates in prision, they are there because they know they messed up somewhere in their life and for the co's and everyone else to treat them the way they do,of corse they are going to have anger, theres alot of fights and things that go on in there but i think that its not only that one inmates fault and being put in the hole for 3 dam weeks is way to much, someone needs to investagate the prisions in indiana and go in there and see how these reject co's treat the guys in there then maybe people will think different about the situation

I have to agree with Michelle Day. The co's do whatever they want to whichever inmate they want. My dad and fiance' are both there and my fiance' has had co's and EVEN counselors write him up for stuff that didnt happen.Fortunately with the constant pursuing of the issue, I was able to get something done about that issue and everything was dropped against him in that issue. Now I am being told I cant visit my father or fiance' because I am under investigation for conspiracy to traffic with an inmate. They said they have phone records of us and now the are investigating. That is the most absurd crap I have ever heard. There was by no means any talk of trafficing anything to anybody, anywhere, I have 2 children and would never risk my freedom and going to jail and losing my kids to traffic anything for anybody. Nor, would my fiance' be okay with that. The staff needs to focus more on what is happening inside their prison and not waste all their time investigating people who are doing nothing wrong just because they dont like a particular inmate. Maybe then there wouldnt be inmates getting beat to death or stabbed inside the facility. When people talk about Putnamville Correctional Facility, its usually about all the violence and inmates getting killed, and how there are more drugs inside the facility than on the streets. Anyway, the funny thing about the issue I am being "investigated" on is,...my fiance' had lost all contact visits a while back prior to this and has been on video visits for 3 months already and will be on them til he is released,...so my question is how in the world would anybody be able to traffic anything to him through a video visit? Mind you, while they are spending their time investigating this impossible and insane issue.....there are probably 3 or 4 fights happening, maybe a death or two, and who knows what else,.. all going un-noticed.

I just cam from P.C.F and if you haven't been there then you have no clue. The C/O's talk to you like you are nothing. They do not hesitate to try and push every button you have. Whatever happens to these C/O's are deserved, Trust Me they bring it on themselves. Yes we messed up we should be punished.

i know what all of u are talking about an the only solution is trying to get them transferred some where other tha pcc. In my opinion its the worse for anyone having to visit,Visitors are treated badly. Half the time i don"t think they even know what the hell thier doing, and dont care. Its like a power trip. I myself have been at odds with them recently, You need to send your complaints to Gold mitch daniels an keep on the counselors an even the superintendent, you have to be heard. This is the worst place to have to visit. Thers problems in all of them an also dangers.but they are doin there time for whatever there in there for but when they cant see families the tension runs high an thats when they snap. They feel as if there no better than animals an that really pisses me off. These places will never change if we dont all stick to geather..

one of the biggest problems with this place is the overcrouding, you are stuck in a dorm with over 150 other guys that are built for 100. the c o s for the most part hate there jobs and are on power trips and they cant keep decent cos to stay and have alot of new ones all the time, the ones that do stay are bullies and have ego trips and they will use force and gang up on you, alot of problems inside are do to drugs and lack of things to do, if you are stuck inside a dorm most of the day theres gonna be fights and stabbings, get the population down and problems would ease up. most of the guys there are there because they deserve to be there but dont believe there getting rehabilitated, there getting schooled on how to be a better con ,if you are able to get into a program there you have to kiss alot of ass because they really hold it over your head in every way they can. and to inmate mother, hes into somebody for a drug debt, he owes a gang and yes they probably will hurt him 200 is alot of money

Oh my God I feel so horrible inside after reading all that. My daughter's father is in that nasty place and I felt the same way when I was in there but I figured it was just certain c/os they are so rude there I felt like I was a prisoner even though I was being so kind to them and appreciative of what they do even with a chaos of people around me...we need officers who actually want these boys to change or they never will treating a person like a dog is not the way to be with them when they have hit rock bottom...but I had no idea it was so awful as I have just had our daughter and haven't been up there recently : ( my poor baby..*sigh* I have to go up there soon too so he can see her. So missin him...btw he is in there for theft he has a heart of gold just gets dumb around certain people is al

i was locked up there in 04 05,an theres alot of talk,i dunno about stabbed,i seen people get hurt real bad though, over less than that,either4 he needs to check in,or work out sum kina payment ,nobody w exztort um less he a sex off,if he truly owes a dept, for cigs, gambling,he better work sumn out, they would rather get paid something than nothing,so he can pay whatever he can, less he pullin your leg to get shit,he might take a ass kickin, nobody got time like dat there an if he wants his time to go by,pay your debts,or dont get in um

My son is at Putnamville and was hurt by the guards they waited 3 weeks before sending him out for surgery we are trying to file a law suite, they treet them like dogs and they have a piss poor rebuildation program also they make sure you lose all your good time and some of the guards wright them up most of the time because they can.

I am sorry to the ones that don't deserve to be treated like that. I am not sorry and am glad that one in particular is treated this way! He deserves every bit of it. He killed my baby girl and she was only 7 mons old! She had no chance at life because of him! The really bad part is that she was his baby too! His flesh and blood! The judge didn't give him enough time so if that's the way inmates are treated there then great! I have a lot of hate for him!

Seriously? It is a prison...they are there to be punished. They get free meals, lodging, healthcare, satelite television, as well as the oppurtunity for a college education and rehab programs. It is not as bad as they tell there families, especially since they aren't paying a dime and don't have to do anything while they are there unless they want to...it's what you make of it. As far as the $200, report it to IA...it's probably a gambling debt, tobacco debt, or drug debt...don't continue to let your son manipulate you, he's in prison because he can't follow the social norms of society, not because he was a great outstanding citizen who didn't break the law. Crime is crime.
