Solar power being installed on prison grounds

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Thursday announced that construction has begun on four solar power plants on prison grounds.

Where do they get the money from. I just saw on the news they mailed out 26000 layoff notices. Like prisons need solar panels. They need to take away inmate medical. California is so screwed up. Thanks to our liberal supreme court judges.

Take away a lot more than that! Solar power is needed though to help save on electric bills. I'm sure bills are huge for a facility that size.

I agree take away inmate medical care. It is crazy how much the cost to take an inmate to the hospital for pimple on their back thinking its a spider bite. 3,000 ambulance ride and 5,000.00 for Dr visit. Solar panels finally the state is thinking right for once.
