Feel broken down, my body aches
My heart it bleeds from past mistakes
Can't stop the tears, they fall like rain
The words are spinning 'round my brain
So scared and feeling so alone
The coldness fills my every bone
No food, no sleep, can't think at all
Each way I turn, another wall
This darkness haunts my very soul
My world seems dead I've lost control
The only weapon is my pen
Depression has moved in again.

IM NOT AN EMOTIONAL MAN BUT THIS MAN MADE ME SHED A TEAR 13 YEARS OF AGE (170 YEARS) AMERICA HOLD YOU'RE HEAD IN SHAME

I agree with the other posts. America, look at yourself. Look at your 'justice' system. And weep.

Mistakes I've made, when I was young....
Even though I knew right from wrong....
It was never meant to be this way....
I was different then, than I am today...
A young boy then, and today a man...
I've paid the price, the best I can...
I pray to those who care to hear....
Of my great remorse, and my dreaded fear...
I pray to those, who perhaps can see...
A child back then, and today, just me...
The thoughts I have, and words unspoken...
Of a man so proud, and yet so broken...
I'm sorry for mistakes I made...
For my forgiveness, I have prayed...
For now it's time to bow my head...
In hope, you understand, what I have said.

Perhaps the above is what Ronald L Sanford
would write, given the chance.

The sentence does not even make sense 2x 50 years for murder of 2people ok then why bother add 50 years extra for robbery including harm and wounding or something to that effect and then 20 years for robbery- I am deeply saddened by this no way should he still be in jail, I understand that a life was taken but he cannot be the same person now that he was at 13 also why was he put into an adult prison.

Judge James W payne who has 'stepped down' as Director of 'Department of Child Services'(yes, it was his job to care and protect children!!); he is the one who is misguided in giving concurrent sentences.
Concurrent sentences are an open invitation for a judge to be vindictive or racist. The only time a concurrent sentence should be given is when a person commits a crime whilst serving a sentence, either on parole or in prison.
By this measure, Ronald L Sanford should serve no more than 50 years and be eligible for parole well before.

Ronald L Sanford has paid for his childhood crime.

man everyone on here is acting like a 13 year old is some kind of little baby, you should know how evil an act of killing two elderly women is by the age 13. I agree he shouldn't still be in prison, he should have received the death penalty when he turned 18. All of you saying he "paid" for his crime, that is disgusting. There are some crimes that once committed the person does not ever deserve to be free in society again.

Not many things in life render me speechless....but for this! There are just no words. To say it is unfair would be a gross understatement. It's utterly barbaric and a senseless waste. Unutterably tragic. I am so angry over Ronald L Sandford's case that I have written to the Governor of Indiana! If this is what a civilized, developed democracy does then I weep for humanity.
