Disgusted with this story. at 13 sentenced to death?! Get a grip of reality he should NEVER have been tried as an adult. He has rehabilitated himself and become a better man, shame on US justice system.

What an outrage in the UK child killers get cosseted and given a fresh start new identity when men in these prisons in the US are serving far too longer sentences. Begs the question is Britain too soft? It doesnt seem right to put a thirteen year in prison for twenty five years.

Ronald L Sanford. Caged from the age of 13 seems to be an injustice. I' m sure it wouldn't be a sentence handed out today. We in Britain rehabilitate he was just a child people do change and grow up.
When Sir Trevor spoke to him it made me cry. He has served his time. He now needs forgiveness. It's been too long . Move with the times USA. I'm a mum of 62.

I am fascinated how the Murderers mind works and have studied mainly in Serial Killers. Mr Sanford is not one of those, he is not a psycho, a peedo a rapist. He was a kid! Probably shit scared himself. I think he should be free, he has paid dont you think?? This is one guy I will feel for.

Disgusting that a 15 year old can get a double life sentence and put in adult prison. I know he took two life's and that is a very bad crime, he was only 13 years old at the time and for 5 dollars. It's obvious he regrets what he did, he's served his time! Let him out!! Far far to harsh a sentence for a 13 year olds crime!!

I too felt sorry for Ronald Sandford but child or not, he still MURDERED 2 innocent elderly women! I'm assuming most of you remember the Jamie Bulger murder? Those evil boys were 10 years old, served 8 years in a young offenders 'prison' and then given new identities. I think it's the British legal system who should hang their heads in shame!

After watching this program, i think they should do a prison swap... put some of the so called 'hard men' from the uk, into one of these american prisons... and watch them cry for their mammies...the american prisoners who get to come over here would think they were on a holiday. I know the american system is too harsh but come on the uk's needs to toughen up..... just a thought!!! Now that would be a reality program that i would watch.

Unfortunately there are many many inmates in the USA system that are the same and should have never been tried as adults. I read about a man released after 40 years in prision aged 55 and didn't know how to survive. So very sad.

Ronald l Sanford should be release immediately he commited an unspeakable crime at the age of 13 and now he's been sentence to 170 years and he have servers half of his life already in prison and I think it's about time for him to be realised and give him a new start In life am sure he really regrets the crime he commited at the age of 13 an d now he has changed.

The American prison system is way too harsh, the prison system in the U.K is too slack
