The proposed mosque for Manhattan isn’t even the first mosque near the “hallowed ground” of Ground Zero.

Certainly not all of Manhattan is "hallowed ground."

The proposed mosque cannot even be seen from Ground Zero.

The proposed mosque site is in a neighborhood with strip clubs and gambling dens--hardly hallowed ground.

Islam has 1.5 billion adherents worldwide. It is ludicrous and grossly unfair to blame all of Islam just because the 9/11 hijackers happened to be Muslim fanatics.

Some of the 9/11 victims were Islamic Americans

Throughout history, and even now, all kinds of atrocities have been committed by fanatical and zealous Christians, Jews, Hindus and others --yet no one condemns those religions.

It is foolish to be guided by the brazen, publicity stunt-seeking, Koran-burning advocating minister from Gainesville, who ought to have been marginalized by the media as an extremist crackpot.

Unfortunately the media distorts the real issues by giving such idiots publicity.

Al Quaedaists and the Talibanists have murdered and killed far more Muslims in Afghanistan than the numbers of persons killed at "Ground Zero."

The war in Afghanistan is not about Islam, so Islamophobia as a response is always the wrong answer.

It is not just blaming the 19 hijackers. Do a little research at all the violent incidents that Muslims are involved in around the world. The 9/11 episode is just one of many.

Islam has 1.5 billion adherents worldwide.

There millions of patriotic American Muslims.

There are thousands of patriotic Muslims in the US Armed Forces.

It is idiotic to incite hatred by Koran burning.

Christians, Jews, Hindus, Moslems all have there extremist zealots and fanatics and it is plainly idiotic to blame all for the criminality of a criminal and unethical few.

Anyone who supports Koran-burning is undermining the military, peace-keeping, and humanitarian effort of US, Canadian, and Coallition nation warriors on missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

And there are millions of muslims that would like to convert or kill all infidels, as was clearly shown by the muslim celebrations worldwide when their brothers killed nearly 3000 Americans.

In the immortal words of Dr. Johnny Fever, it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you.

If this a basic template you have on saved so that you can look "all that" and only have to change two or three things?

There was a time when Christianity had its Crusades and Inquisitions but Christianity has persisted in spite of the idiocy of inter-Christian strife as us depicted in Ireland, for example, or in eastern Europe, where Orthodox and Catholic Christians were murdering each other in interethnic strife. Many wars in Europe were characterized by religious struggles between Protestantism and Catholicism, or Orthodoxy versus Catholicism, and so on.
This idiotic strife among Christians would continue to persist except for education, human rights, and constitutional democracy that has spread among the nominal so-called "Christian nations."
Likewise with more education and democracy, the idiocy of fanaticism and zealotry of al Quadaism and Talibanism will dissipate as it did in "Christendom."
The fact is that there are fanatics and zealots among all the religions ...Christians, Jews, Hindus, Moslems, Sikhs and many other religions. On any given day, there is some idiotic violence dressed in religious fervor.
This is why all governments in the Middle East should be secular and democratic, like India. Until that happens, there will continue to be unnecessary strife.
Most of the violence in the Middle East for example exists --not because of religion--but because of a lack of secularism. lack of civil and human rights, and lack of constitutional democracy there. Religion is merely the rallying point to settle scores usually concerning colonialism, exploitation, and disenfranchisement.
People being colonized, suppressed, disenfanchized, and exploited are easily polarized and swept up in religious fanaticism and zealotry.
Islamophobia is not the answer to problems rooted in colonialism, exploitation, and disenfranchisement.
The idiotic Koran-burning pastor, and others like him, are merely creating more smoke that diverts attention from those real problems.
In doing so he sets back the mission of American, Canadian and other Coalition nation forces in Afghanistan where winning hearts and minds is critical to success.

The point is that Jesus is divine as reported in all the faiths of Abraham. FYI I'm a born again christian, my point was the divinity of Jesus the Christ. More over the Koran tell muslims to ask the people of the book(followers of christ) for the answers and the people of jewish faith because they were the first. I like to study theology LOL.

While I agree that many followers of Islam are haters of Christians, Jews or other religions and have perpetrated acts of violence in a multitude of ways, I disagree with this show of burning the Quran. I just frankly don't see that it is going to do anything except stir up more hatred. They would likely make more of a lasting impact by having an open prayer service for God to intervene in our country's (and her people's) future.

According to Suras Al 'Imran 3:50-51, al-Maida 5:46-47, and al-Zukhruf 43:63 Jesus is sent by Allah to confirm the infallibility of the Tavrat (Torah, Jewish scriptures). Muslims will say that the Tavrat has been corrupted but the Qur'an actually denies this.

In addition, the Qur'an tells us that Jesus was given the Injeel (Christian New Testament, Gospel) which contains "guidance and light" according to the first two suras listed above. Muslims will say that the Injeel has also been corrupted but this statement also seems to contradict the Qur'an.

Allah himself taught Jesus wisdom, the Tavrat and the Injeel (Sura Al-Imran 3:48), therefore Jesus possesses divine wisdom. Compare this with the Christian belief that Jesus is the word of God (John 1:1).

In Sura Al 'Imran 3:50, Jesus said, "obey me." Allah didn't rebuke Him for saying this which implies that he is sharing or at least delegating his authority to Jesus. In this same sura, Jesus is called a miraculous sign (Ayatollah) to men.
All people have hate until we remember that God is are father and we are all family. My point is that the Quran teaches about ISA(Jesus),The bible speaks of Jesus(Jesus), the Torah speaks of Joshua(Jesus)
