SETTLE??????? HOW ABOUT SOME CHANGES?????????? I think that the Judge should send someone undercover in the prison as a guard and another as an inmate not let anyone know. Not even the warden or anyone. They would see that things are not changing in there if anything they are just getting better at covering up the things that are going on behind those walls. Settlements will not help make the changes needed.

I agree with you. Nothing is getting better other than the cover ups. My honey who is a 1st time offender for weed (yes, I am aware is illegal) is in Donaldson Prison. He is in a maximum security prison and serving a 3 year sentence. Explain to me how putting him in a prison that is changing the good person that he was to a hardened person that see's violence and hears stories on how to be a better criminal is supposed to rehabilitate anyone. Then they wonder why these people become repeat offenders. They have to tolerate humiliation on a daily basis. For the sad few that are not violent criminals how are they supposed to not get rapped and beaten and still come home on their EOS date? This is how many catch more charges while behind bars. Most men don't want to be another mans B. The sad thing is I wasted 5 minutes typing this knowing it will never make a difference. I just pray that he makes it home safe and can find that sweet, live loving person he was. He is young and he was experimenting with marijuana and got caught. Many people in their lives have smoked a joint he just got caught and look at how it has changed our lives now. I think maybe the justice system should be forced to live as an inmate for 1 month in Donaldson and see what their opinion of the "settling" is now.
