Is anyone listening???
This is the most discusting facility -(ofcourse, I have not made a tour of facilities) However, it seems that terrorists are treated better than than dui offenders. Does anyone think MADD has gone overboard or the small texas county judges? Do you realize the inmates are responsible for cleaning their own dorm however, they have no cleaning supplies and have bleeding aids pts in the dorm?? Do you realize they have been cut to 2 meals a day - 5am and 5 pm?? Do you realize they cannot go outside - although they tell the media they have an excersize are on top - but no one is allowed up there??? So, my daughter has not been in the sunlight for 2 years?? She has signs of malnutrition. There is no true medical care???
I have put these messages out there, but there seems no one even cares!!

I have made a tour of the facility and it's not that bad. It actually looked nicer than I thought it would.

"terrorists are treated better than than dui offenders"

Terrorists and drunk drivers do the same thing, they kill people and sometimes there selves. One does it on purpose, the other takes the chance they may kill somebody. I'm not comparing drunk drivers and terrorist, I'm just trying to make a point.

I understand your concern as a mother, but it's not as bad as you think. Your daughter will be O.K. and make it through this. The point of being in jail is to make someone not want to come back, and not break the law again.

does any one remember what offender's punishment was to be when sent to prison ? no o.k let me give you a history lesson --the punishment was to deprive the person of liberty --- for a period of time --- I see nothing about not feeding the inmates -- or degrading them --- or abusing them so they won't want to come back -- might be we should start some chain gangs -ya' think ??? from what I read on this blog it would look like that we have a bunch of cavemen running this facility--- but you must remember if our system of government goes down those people you abused will remember you and might just come and have a prayer meeting with you --might due to think on that some the next time you mistreat one of these people that you are charged with caring for-- the loss of there liberty is there punishment-- not to be mistreated or abused .. and if that does not float your boat just remember that the creator --is seeing all that you do and he never forgets and will deal with you and no one can stay His Hand -you can't cover it up or hide it from Him -- as you judge what you should do just remember His promise to judge you with the same judgement that you judged with-- now that will be interesting ya' think --and for the reporter go see what the punishment is when a person is sent to jail --see if you can find anything about mistreating any one!!! as for "Life with Christ" ya' might want to go back and read the Book again me thinks ya' missed a lot

my besty was taken there from gatesville recently and i have no clue what she is dealing with. i pray for her everyday. God does see all and i feel sorry for anyone, offender or jailer, that causes her pain outside of her paying her time and freedom!

i was trying to get information on applying for a job at dawson and i run across this. is there anyone out there that actually work for this this place that could advise what to do thanks...I don't know any of these peoples horrible stories but what i do know is that offenders will say and try to do anything they can not to follow the rules.prison is not to make one comfortable.its not a motel. when one leaves they shouldn't want to go back. besides they did break the law or else they would not be locked up. just saying from my experience.
