Prison "Inmates" Becoming "Offenders" Now

A subtle change in the state prisons is afoot, workers there say: Inmates are no longer "inmates." They're "offenders." "Why soften it? Why try and be nicey-nicey and make it anything less than what it is?" said Michael H. LaDue, president of the local Council 82, which represents lieutenant corrections officers at Watertown Correctional Facility.

That's a pretty ignorant statement to make, people like you need to have someone you love in there and see if what you just said stands true!!!!

they also put false statments in INMATES records and some of the guards are abusive and talk homo like to the INMATES and you have the nerve to call them offenders wheres the justice o there is none

Me being a former inmate at watertown it ahands on jail correction officers beat the inmates eat the food an gamble all day an this is what tax payers spend they money on

Yea they gamble right in the mashall.an the beat inmats up for takeing food.the same food their not supouse to the eat an just pick a inmate beat him up an throw him in the bock for something the officers eat.its a big joke in that jail if any has family their call right do something cause their in danger .
