Trial set to begin Monday over man's claim he was brutalized by Corbin police
#1 Feb 7, 2013
Corbin police have always been know to use excessive force. I know of lots of stories. How are people suppose to have respect for the law when the law doesn't set any kind of standard for justice?

How would anyone be able to prove they were mistreated by the police? I don't know one way or the other, just curious.

Normally the police cannot do anything prior to a crime being comitted, unless you have actual proof that they did actually hire someone to do the crime for which you are alleging. If there is no proof, then it is heresay only, and no action by the police is possible. You can protect yourself in various ways, some good cheap ones are extra lighting, a dog, sensors to alert you of peoples present, and good deadbolt locks.
Ask any police agency what thier role is and they will tell you that they are to keep order and not to guard you against threats.
