That's because 90% of Americans have NO IDEA OF WHAT AMERICAN FORCES ARE DOING TO DESTABILIZE COUNTRIES AROUND THE GLOBE.
What do you expect in the way of reprisals, from the countries that you attack, Chocolates and Flowers?
These countries are NOT going to take this American agression sitting down, they are going to reciprocate in kind,(or worse). You have just seen the start of things with the Boston Fiasco, in my humble opinion. I certainly don't condone this, but I can understand the reason for it - your governments attacks' on smaller, defenseless, countries. Did you ever notice that every country that The US is involved with, or attacks, is an oil-producing nation?
By the way, did you ever have the thought, that some of the attacked countries have prisoners held in GITMO,(and other Hidden US jails), and the info regarding their treatment, is widely known. How do you think these countries are going to treat captured American Troops when that time comes?
What you get, is what you gave. Scary eh!

Time to close gitmo. Imagine if you have been deemed innocent and cleared for release for years yet you are not allowed to go. Locked up most hours of the day. Forced to eat and not allowed to die.

Whenever someone says America is for liberty and justice, it is a complete farce. There is no liberty or justice in locking innocent people away in quasi legal status in a communist country we have no real relations with and forcing them to stay alive after you broke them so much they just want to die.

World opinion of this illegal, evil, jail, and America in general, has dropped, TO LOWER THAN THE BOTTOM OF THE CHART!

For people of your ilk, yes indeed. I think they have lots of them in your country, they call them,'Funny Farms', for lack of a more descriptive phrase!
I'd say, by your response, that you are a prime candidate. You'd better not venture too close to one.

And so it the land of the brave and free with justice for all. Can anyone see where Americans have lost their way and their claim to moral superiority?

Moral superiority? Are you kidding? When did we ever say that? We have a fleet of aircraft carriers and the most powerful air force in human history. That's our high ground.
There is justice for all....except our enemies. For them, things are tough.

So you superiority is in your Armed services. I always thought it was in a democracy and rule of law. And you same except for our enemies yet the majority of those at Gitmo have been cleared of any wrong doing. So while YOU say they are the enemy, our armed forces leaders have cleared them as so. Wanna know who i am going to trust more; our leaders or some guy on the internet who wants to talk tough?

So no, there is not justice in this country. It is laughable whenever anyone tries to say that in this current state of this country. You all have zero proof they took up arms against us but you are ready to torture and kill them. American Justice after 9/11. Land of Justice and Liberty for All...is a joke.

He did but it was a farce for "moving it to the states; IL to be exact". Congress with trying to block everything he does, regardless if they are for it or against; has to block Obama at all costs. So everyone from Obama, to Bush, to our armed forces says we should close it down.

Fast forward a few years and still nothing done. Obama in office for a while so all those fake liberals/progressives whom were ragging all over Bush for his civil liberties violations including Gitmo, now all turn the blind eye to Obama's agenda to worsen those same civil liberties violations, including taking it to extreme extent of seizing the power to assassinate US citizens without due process or judicial review.

Another few years and now all those fake liberals/progressives say they want it open and well as a good amount of those on the right. Most vocal of those being the chickenhawks in congress.

So now America, the land of the Brave and Free wants a quasi legal prison in a communist country that we want no relations with, that can kidnap whom it wants, when it wants for any "national security" reason, free from any oversight cause it makes them feel a little bit safer from that evil Muslim Boogeyman.

And to add 1 more point for those whom want to keep it open cause "kill the muslims", if you want real sentences for those guilty, then you would be opting for civilian trials here in the states as all of those trials have handed down much harsher penalties than those of military tribunals. Some of those found guilty in military tribunals and served their sentences have been freed yet those deemed innocent and cleared for release serve longer sentences waiting in limbo.

If you want real justice, you move them to the states, give them trials, convict those guilty, and do it in the open. As of now, you see no justice being served.

interesting theory, maybe it could to be applied to all wars, imagine how many lives would be saved if instead of killing the enemy soldiers prosecuted them!

once we've done that we could all get a unicorn of our own!

Do you really think that your weaponry is superior to the other large countries of the world? Technology is not available just to America, my friend. Russia, China, and 1/2-dozen or so other countries have similar,(or more potent weaponry, at the ready, RIGHT NOW), to retaliate to anything America has to offer.
I thought that the American,'John Wayne Syndrome', was laid to rest,'till I read your post!
Get on the net dude, see what is available (and ready to do business), weapon-wise, in countries around the world.
Remember Viet-Nam, and how America was barely able to get out of the country without losing even more American lives? Not quite the same as the bragging that took place prior to declaring War on them. As a matter of fact, your rhetoric sounded vaguely similar!
Now you use Chicken S..t Drones, to attack various countries. If you keep this up, the retaliation factor will cause more deaths in America than you could ever imagine. Do you think that other countries don't have Drones,(or the ability and the technology to manufacture them? Look at Iran, they have landed TWO of your Drones with no trouble at all, even though the US designed these things with 7 advanced satelites, to control their every move, and also with a self-destruct mechanism, that Iran also overpowered. How long do you think it will take before they will be duplicated, WITH EVEN MORE UP-TO-DATE-TECHNOLOGY, and be ready for dispatch to wherever needed. The days of chest-beating, and flag-waving, are gone.
The nations of the world know who their enemies are, and they are dispatched without any fuss, or muss, QUICKLY, AND WITHOUT THE RHETORIC, SUCH AS YOURS.
