Turkey frees Kurdish ex-mayors, peace process edges forward

Ten Kurdish defendants, including six former mayors, were released from jail on Tuesday in a trial of 175 people accused of links to militants, a further small step in Turkey's efforts to end a Kurdish insurgency.

Turkey will solve Kurdistan problem ONLY if join EU and euro.

Turkey will resolve the problems of the Kurds with or without the EU .... however can't resolve it without the involvement of the Kurds .....

BTW, there is no Kurdistan problem ..... there are Problems of the Kurds !!!

In the region called Kurdistan live today less Turkish Kurds than there are living in the Aegean Region (incl. Istanbul)!

Hope so nobody now will declare this region is historically Kurdish too.
