You can't be a good leader, administrator, etc if you have no clue what's going on in your company. Good leaders are out there occassionally in the trenches with their guys. Any sheriff would learn valuable lessons by dispacthing every now and then, by working the night shift, by working patrol to see what the deputies deal with each day. Not asking that they don't perform management duties, but get real and really find out whats going on with your staff (employees), what they deal with every day, what can be better, etc.
Just from being around Chris, showed me that he will do a great job and on his next term will be welcomed as a re electee. He has it together already. He knows what he is in for.

1 good incedent and 20 bad, want me to start naming, like arresting a man asking for help and letting him die in the jail, come on people, we don't need that kind of sheriff.

Law enforcement training is the same for ALL law enforcement. FHP officers are the primary instructors at Gulf Coast law enforcement training, meaning that most of our local law enforcement was trained by FHP! FHP also works with local law enforcement on a variety of cases. I have no idea at this point who I will vote for but the deciding factor for me will not be about their level of training because both Bobby and Chris are both well qualified.
I wouldn't call Bobby haddock qualified. He just sits back and rakes in the money and them whines for more money because he can't manage a budgett.
He tells his officers to say laws that don't exist. I know cause I am one of those victims that he let it go so a thief could steal from me. He refused to help. another is a man died in jail for asking for help.

That don't qualify him in my book and alot of other people also.

The mnan you keep referring to as having died in jail, for asking for help was not asking for help. Not even once. That has been looked at by family hired attorneys, and nothing ever came of it. Go get a copy of happened, and read for yourself instead of spreading untruths.

There's a lot of Finch's supporting Bobby. He's had many years in law enforcement. Where did the changing tires come in??? He's a nice man and I'm sure if he was to see you with a flat tire he would stop to help you change it. Funny

Are you really implying that because a very unqualified person was voted in as the president of the United States then why wouldnt we all vote in someone for the local sheriff that is unqualified?? I would hate to have you as a campaign manager.

My biggest issue with Ellis is how tax dollars would go to this program his wants for seniors. Im not saying its all bad to check in on them but when he describes it as they will stop and make sure they are okay and then will change lightbulbs and whatever else they need done when they are there seems like a waste of resources and tax money. Before you try and debate this just think about when you used to go by grandmas house for a quick visit and how that quick visit lasted an hour doing this and that.

maybe all the time they spend at eating free at McD's they could spend checking on the seniors. I mean I know they need a lunch break but, 30 min and go, in and out of a store every 4 hr for a break then pound the payment for the other 7

Yep they deserve a lunch break, they are paid for working 8 hours, and one of those hours is lunch. So I guess that unlike everyone else, WCSO people are paid for working 7 hrs. work that equals 8 hrs. pay Hmmmm.

All I know is that Ellis and Pettid are spanking Bobby's butt when it comes to getting out and beating the bushes for votes. Haddock hasnt walked in a single parade. Couldnt if he wanted to. Same with Brock. If you are not healthy enough and in shape enough to handle the job you need to retire. If you can't handle a single parade walking to meet the people I will not votehealthy for you

Wow! What great charter you have. I always thought actions speak louder than words but this says a lot. No need to respond because I won't get on your level. I was just saying so don't take it personal. I thought I was entitled to type what I wanted just like you without getting a profane response.

Ellis is the better choice....instead of small town mentality like Haddock he will supplement with outside agencies for drug inderdiction.

CE has alot of connections both at state and federal level. Most of the drug busts here are due to other agency involvement yet they have to include Haddock cause they are in his territory....

Of the topic of learing for the job, Was Haddock exceptionally skilled at running a department...NO. He had on the job training like most who get elected for that posistion. He complains he has not enough deputies....well man up and patrol if you need to.Dang most of your cars never have mud or dust on em so that is telling me you all never leave a paved road.

And when I see 3 cars at Cancun's all at once which is inside of city limits it tells me you guys are riding the gravy train with biscuit wheels.

Well at least you have acknowleged that we have alot of drug bust. You may be the best player on Haddock's team! You would probably just do Chris better by keeping your mouth shut. Come on dude we have to make them look bad and your not helping.

Earlier again it was funny. Nobody takes this site seriously. He is a nice man and everyone can go vote for who they want to because we live in America and it's our right. May the best man win. I'm sure nobody will make their decision based on Topix.
