How about we just shred the entire Constitution.

Oh, wait.... the past couple of administrations have made great strides in doing just that.

Bad idea and will never happen.

No one on the right supports this idea and 80% of the left we also don't support it. There is only a tiny small group who want guns gone. They don't have power or control to do it.

If the left thought they had the votes, they'd have tried it already.....

They don't and it is the very far very far fringe insane left. I am a Democrat voter and can tell you I want no gun control at all. Most Democrats don't. It is just a small fringe group who do.

There is some insane left there yes. But I see no destruction. I mean since Bush the demon left office this nation each year has got better across the board.

The American left marginalizes and isolates their fringe extremists.

The American right gives their extremists television shows and elects them to Congress.

Yes, they own ES&S, Diebold, and Sequoia ballot counting boxes. They can and do put anyone in office they want. They control the ballot counting. Remember how Chuck Hagel owned his own ballot counting company, and used it to win a seat in congress. And now is in Obama's cabinet as in total charge of the military?

They apparently can do anything they want. They control the vote.

Sorry, you are way too late. It was the USSC that eliminated the constitution when they threw out our election and appointed bush.

The very fact that the second amendment is such an ongoing subject of debate suggests that its meaning is confusing. Pro-gun people keep pointing to the words that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Anti-gun people keep pointing to the "well regulated militia" phrase.

There may be no impetus to repeal the second amendment, but it sure could use some clarification.

Nobody ran ME out, liar. I ran the lying wingnut out by consistently confronting their lies with the facts. They all left for other shadows because they couldn't tolerate the light of the truth.

I continue to post in the Chambersburg forum as there is need. How about you? Why did every post you've made since November disappear from that forum? Was it because YOU were actually the one who was ran out?

Yeah... Liberal extremists like Henry Waxman and Al Sharpton are isolated to the fringe.
Oh wait... never mind.

It is only clear to those with an agenda. It is clear to me. However if it is not clear to someone they can read the Federalist papers and the writings of those who drafted the Constitution.

Constitution signer John Dickenson, like many of the others in his day, defined an inalienable right as a right “which God gave to you and which no inferior power has a right to take away.”

If the worst, most extreme liberals you can name are Waxman and Sharpton, you just proved my statement true.

The "gangsta bling sub-culture" (nice creative bigotry there, BTW) are not registered voters of any party. To claim they are a "wing of the Democratic constituency" isn't a reality-based accusation.

No they aren't but I'd say that Waxman is the liberal equivalent of Robert Byrd and Al Sharpton is out on the left just about as far as Rush Limbaugh is out on the right. The Tea Party or the Tequila Party... it's all the same.

The writing in the Constitution should have to stand on its own. If it needs to rely on another document, that makes my point that it needs clarification.

As someone who seems interested in the drafting of the Constitution, I'm sure you know that there was much debate about the wording and intent of the second amendment.

"God" plays no role in a rational argument.

I need no more than the words of the Constitution to understand it. Others who wish to twist it to take our rights seem to be the ones who are just trying to find a way to twist it into something it is not.

God is critical to this discussion.Otherwise they are not rights. They are privileges and can be taken by men. The great thing about rights coming from God is they can not be taken from us by other men.

You are welcome to believe that your privileges come from men.

WHICH God you follow is critical to this discussion.

Because the God revealed in Jesus Christ abhors violence and unconditionally rejects killing. So there is no right to be armed coming from the Christian God. It's an entirely man-made thing.

I am no bible scholar, but I will trust those who I know have studied it. I know more than 1 preacher who carries. It comes down to the fact you may defend yourself.
