Protecting the Caribbean Coral Reefs Is the Fed's Affair

Oct 15, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Kansas City InfoZine

A federal district court has ruled that the National Marine Fisheries Service violated the law by allowing fishing for depleted parrotfish and other algae-eating reef fish species without properly monitoring the fishery's impacts on rare corals that depend on healthy fish populations.

Fed's protect anything? The only thing the Federal Government protects are their jobs and self built empires. As for the coral reefs, they seem have gotten along just fine for 5 or 600 years before there was a US Government.

US government?.

You sound like an independista. I wasn't under the impression you were one. That's fine too.

Well, this problem is worldwide.

However, what does the US government have to do with erosion of the island's reefs?.

They have found erosion in Belize ,as well, as Australia's great barrier reefs.

Now, if it was impacted by military drills such as was the case in Vieques?. That's another thing altogether.

Clarify your point if you get a chance. Thx.

Belize has had significant die offs on their reefs, they are second only to the Great barrier reefs in size.

Yes. True.... A shame.

I know someone who went there. They really enjoyed it.
