thanks for the advice, but NO, i dont enjoy reading most history and i prefer to observe customs for myself. i think most of the forum arguements over historical 'facts' are stupid and just an opportunity either to act like a know-it-all or an excuse to put someone else down as 'ignorant'. i also think ppl bury themselves in historical 'facts' and blind themselves to the fact that we are living in and working on issues of today.
i think it's ok to criticise something without being an 'expert'. experts have vastly varying perspectives and disagree with each other all the time. what you learn from them is entirely a matter of what that particular expert's opinion is. i make my own opinions and if i complain about something that you feel is unjustified, then just give me your perspective. i dont mind an earful, if it doesnt get personal or into name-calling.
You are going to have a difficult time in Puerto Rico.

i'm sure that's what you wish. thanks for the sentiment.(like you have to immerse yourself in books to adjust to PR. haha)
this is more of a psych forum than a PR forum and here's your diagnosis: you harbor some deep hatred for whatever it is that you define as a 'gringo', probably due to some early childhood trauma.you are still trying to vent your barely repressed, gnawing hatred.
nobody here but you has ever called me a gringo(to my face). and other countries that i've lived in dont have that kind of slur for ppl from outside. well, there was mazungu, ferengi, and infidel, but it was usually accompained by smiles and welcomes, or alternatively, intense curiosity. it really says a country or person has a poor self-concept to label others that way.

What a bunch of babble. You ramble on and on with saliva drooling from your mouth. Take your medication and take a time out.

Good, make sure you never come and enjoy the real beauty of the island. Is this the only country with issues? I think not. Let one moron impede your thoughts.
in april of this year i visited the Island. What i saw was beyond my expectations. The women, the beauty of the Island was every where. The Fort of
Muro stood as the Statue of Liberty in New York welcoming all people to the Enchanted Island. If i could, i would pack for the island on this very day.
