Local Knights Headed To Battle Of Nations

In Blackfoot on Saturday, some local knights in shining armor trained to go sword on sword in a battle of the nations.

We did the same thing 44 years ago, when I was 7, only the swords were wooden broom handles and the shields were galvanized trash can lids. Once, I used a saucepan as a helmet. Another time, it was small stainless steel mixing bowl. Then, I got a toy Thompson submachine gun, as did my friends, and we fast-forwarded to "fighting" the Germans in World War II. Gee, I wish I was 7 years-old, again!
