The only way for Poland is giving NATO memberschip up. Polish troops take participacion in all American illegal invasion: Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo - part of Serbia. Some Polish soldiers commited there alredy war crimes ( massacre of civilians in Afghanistan - there are even difficulties with punishment of these soldiers what is really not normal, something alike in Iraq ) and it is the highest time to say stop and bye bye. Poland do not need genocides in government and in army.
What future do Polih politicians want to offer for Poland? A small, mucked country dependent military on USA? What does it mean for Poland. It means that it must take participation in every US illegal wars - easy donor of cannon fodder ruled by involuntary, proamerican puppets.

Firstly, the tragedy of Poland origins from a combination of Poland’s geo-political location and of the traditional, historically conditioned, political inefficiency ((political prudence promoted by Andrzej Frycz-Modrzewski has been buried deep in the ground, long time ago!) of the Polish nation. As a result of the above the privilege of sovereignty is simply unaffordable for Poland.

Secondly, it was the people of Poland who decided to choose their new Big Brother ; they had no other alternative. Poles identify themselves, rightly, with the Western civilization for Poland is, by tradition and merits, a contributor to its values. One also must not omit the fact that, over centuries, Poland has also been serving it as its dedicated “Busta Gallorum” to the frontiers of the East and South-East. If there is any problem, it is the inconsistency and flexibility of the West towards Poland and the best example of that is the fact that the whole West has been deceiving and outwitting Poland on all grounds and at any occasion over centuries by the present time. But we should not blame the Western world for that, at all ; the key culprit himself resides at the Vistula riverbank. Poland’s sincere faithfulness combined with ’poetic’ naivety (we never learn from our previous experiences!) have always been the cause of disrespect the Western world was demonstrating ; today, in the eyes of her new Big Brother, America, Poland could have managed to reduce herself to the status of a minor - of the secondary, or even tertiary importance - servant of the American global and regional policies. Poland has consciously chosen and decided to play the role of a very little, very weak, but very noisy and naughty, boy whom the West is using at any occasion for the purpose of mastermind of perfidy and wickedness of political strategy of the West (vide Napoleon Bonaparte‘s Polish issues,‘ for instance).

It is the fact that we, the Poles, as a nation, cannot recover from the 19th century’s romantic “Ostatni Zajazd Na Litwie”(“The Last Raid in Lithuania”), still further. Because of that we are always missing the crucial point concerning the policy of international co-existence, over and over, again, and we are, continuously and stubbornly, reluctant to remember that the Westerners, particularly the Americans, are the men of business who stand firm upon the ground of the ruthless reality…
And the effect? Hundred of thousands of those like me, educated or trained in Poland to the highest standards, have been selling their skills and knowledge, for decades and generations, to the businesses of foreign countries… rarely returning to our native country for the purpose of retirement.

Sorry Mr Rey for not reading this at the time. I was rushed and just had to leave some sort of a message of acknowledgment. I hate the idea of effort going unrecognized, and apathy on the Polish forum is not excusable.

I think you probably take things to heart just a little too much. Or is that an understatement? And as for Big Brother, well gosh, what can I say, old school? Another understatement?

Anyway, some thoughtful points made. Hopefully we'll get some more feedback from others.

Na prawde mi jest brak slow! Moze lepiej bo moje mozliwoscie w jezyku Polskim sa nawet skromniejsze niz po Angielsku.

Chyba Pan da sobie zrozumiec ze taka duma i preokupacjia ze wstyde na skali narodowej ma smak przysadizmu ... odrobinke? Nie? Mowie Panu serdecznie, ze to jest choroba, i czeba sie leczyc sam sobia i jak mozna. Tak sie nie da zyc.

Tez czeba wybaczac, ludzie maja rozne doswiadczenia swiatowe, rodzine, szkolne. Maja rozne pojeczia. Na koncu to wszystko sie liczy za nic. Lepiej sie zangarzowac zyciem, ludzmi, i wtedy mozna im pomoc i sobie. Ja tez wole zamknac sie robiac swoje rzeczy, ale komu to pomaga?

yes, thay had the only, normal alternative: sit quietly on their ass and do not mix in US genocide in Iraq and Afghanistan.
