WTH?
There were so many positive stories about natural gas in Poland and now this? I would like to know why now it isn't considered "commercially viable" but just a few years ago, everyone was all excited about it.

"Hampered by difficult geology, a paltry service sector, a lack of adequate infrastructure, as well as an uncertain regulatory and tax environment, there have been few exploratory wells drilled."

But they knew all that years ago - or should have.

According to Russians I spoke with....your Lithuania does NOT produce or manufacture anything. Why is that?

Maybe you should be left alone.

Shale gas extraction in Poland was expected to fall and it has. You know, there are so many talks all over the net about extremely harmful ecological consequences that leave behind those methods they used to get the shale gas, meanwhile little people actually say about economical problems Europeans are to meet in issue as well. Financial side of sphere indeed hides nothing good for European. First of all nowhere in Europe energy companies already got all the needed for shale gas extraction technologies, while the existing projects are based on the assistance coming from... the US. The conditions under which Americans agree to work in Europe are not just financially unprofitable but harmful, as the US based companies practically set their control over the European shale gas depths. The situation we're swimming now about is that striving to escape from dependence on natural gas supplies practically Europe is to lie under another. Current European energy policy for sure will bring no good!
