Biden to reassure Poles during European trip

Full story: Long Beach Press-Telegram

Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania all have recent memory of Russian dominance and power. The Obama administration, by renegging on the missle defense system plans, has left them all feeling that America will not stand up to Russian hegemony, and has left them to their own devices in regard to Russian pressure on it's former satelite countries. Those countries are correct. One has only to look at the enormous pressures that the Russians have applied to Ukraine, and to Georgia, even going so far as to occupy parts of Georgia, while the U.S. has stood by and watched. Some ally we are turning out to be. Was there some quid pro quo regarding sanctions against Iran by the Russians? Apparently not. Certainly the Secretary of State didn't seem to make any beneficial deals during her recent days in Moscow. So it would seem that we are betraying our allies, without any reason or benfit for doing so.

I hope he does more for Poland and the Czechs than he has done reassuring the American people about the economy.

Obama yanks the security rug out from underneath Poland's feet and then sends Babbling Biden over to tell them everything's gonna be hunky-dory.

That ain't gonna work, the Poles live in the real world, not Obama's Never-never Land. Since 1939, they've been c*r*a*p*p*e*d on too many times to count.

Many nations of the former Warsaw Pact saw the United States as their saviour, a nation who'd faced down the Soviets.

Obama tossed that good will out with a stroke of a pen... I doubt that Joe's gonna be able to spin that into anything other than what it is... a stab in the back

Hussein Obama pry doesn't know wher Poland is or for that matter, the first thing about the hardships they have been through in the past century.

They have been our ally any time they could, WWII and the recent gulf conflict for example. Hussein has snubbed them.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Libra

Don't put yourself through anything that isn't absolutely necessary, Libra. After all, why cook when others will gladly serve you at their house, or treat you to a wonderful meal at your favourite restaurant? Even when you assert yourself, there seems to be a wonderfully passive quality to your manner. Now that the universe has finally decided to give you some of what you want, make sure your wish list is short and don't be greedy.
