Record numbers visit Auschwitz ex-Nazi death camp: museum

A record 1.22 million people visited the former Nazi German Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in 2007, a spokesman for the museum in southern Poland said Monday. via XtraMSN Real Estate

Yes, this museum is absolutely necessary for posterity - lest we and future generations forget!!! However, Auschwitz is not Poland and Poland is not Auschwitz. There is, of course, so much more to see and do in Poland than reflect on torture and death. The country is full of life and culture and has so much more to offer the European Union and the world. Many fields of the world saw battles, butchery, and death, but those countries today have people who live, love, smile, laugh, and have a lot to offer. Such is also the case with Poland which is not a cemetery or museum because people still live there today.
