Tokyo has been the most expensive city for quite a while now.

If you are a foreigner and are not making the yen equivalent of $75,000 dollars a year or more, you shouldn't be in Tokyo. Unless, you got rich parents or somebody is giving you money.

Presently, a lot of foreigners that like Asia are moving to Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand... Places where it's cheaper.

Korea, technology wise, is just about up there with Japan. However, Seoul is way cheaper and more convenient in terms of trains and taxis, than Japan.

A lot of foreigners thinking about coming to Japan, should instead be thinking about going to Korea.
