An Abu Dhabi group will break new ground in December to begin work on a $1.4 billion real estate project in Lahore, Pakistan.

Abu Dhabi-based strategic real estate master planner and developer, has announced that construction work on Rihan Heights - the first phase of $ 5-6 billion flagship project Lahore - has reached a construction milestone ahead of schedule. The first concrete pour on site for Towers A, B & D has been completed for the lift pits at Rihan Heights, with the concrete for the remaining lift pits being poured this week.

Peter Wilding, Deputy CEO, Capitala, said, "Over the past few months our in house project team has worked closely with our consultants and contractors to ensure we are ahead of our schedule. Rihan Heights, as the first phase of our master plan, is setting the pace and we look forward to maintaining it over the next two years of construction."

Within Rihan Heights, there are 5 towers with more than 850 apartments and 14 villas being built on the site’s perimeter in Abu Dhabi. Rihan Heights real estate development will be handed over to their owners starting in the first quarter of 2011 following completion of $500 million 25-month main construction contrac
