How ironic that the faithful.. in preaching the omnipotence of their God.. cannot survive the burning of a book.. just like the American flag.. are any of us so frail as humans that we will cease to exist if a man made artifact.. book.. flag.. 8 x 10 glossy of Reagan.. is destroyed by an "infidel?"

Any God worth devotional obedience has to be bigger than a man made symbol.

Think.. our religious devotion to one political persuasion or another.. will cease if one of us does not "believe."

How weak is the God that is so fragile... He/She cannot suffer malcontents expressing their dislike of their less than equal status.

The Lord may "move in mysterious ways" (he let Bush & Cheney live)but can His position only be secured by one of our fellow "earthlings" killing a non-believer? If so, they need a stronger God. I hear Glen Beck has announced his candidacy.

NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

This BOOK OF HATE cites 36 times that every non-believer must be put to death.

The goal of islam is to vanquish all religions and to dominate the world by force, fear AND death.

And who/what is in the White House?
A radical muslim.

Burning it is a little extreme, however it should be banned from public schools.

I can't believe that there is so much hoohah over this. I think racism in every form from every quarter is wrong. But I know that those of you who feel so strongly about your causes will not stop the bloodletting.

I come here and I read, I get tearful at some of it and outraged by most. I can't believe that humans cannot recognise other people as humans but everyone recognises the other as a christian or muslim. I am so thankful for the old ways which have been in existence since the dawn of the first sun that recognises the balance of male/female contribution to the existence of all life and all sacredness.

I hope that only respect for each other blossoms not the hate that is spread in these pages.

We should have worldwide Quarn burning ceremonies. I personally use Quran pages to wrap my infants dirty diapers before throwing it away

Anthropologists (correctly) point out that religions are created by mortals. And the miracles of each are largely the same in all faiths. And all faiths do stress goodness. But any faith that calls for the death of non-believers (Islam) is not a religion but rather Savage custom.

People who react to these sort of events...bible burnings etc would come across as far more intelligent and rational if they understood these acts make no difference whatsoever. A book is merely a symbol. There are always Christians and I'm sure now Muslims who carry on as though their god is hurting. God doesn't hurt. Can we hurt light?

Again to the unlearned: Any religion that calls for the death of so-called "Unbelievers" is savage and utterly barbaric. And such are the "Forsaken," as described in the most ancient of texts.

My oh my little Hagy just went jihadist.
Do not concern yourself ,nobody will waste its time to burn your fable book.No need for that ,with a population that has the lowest level of education, with countries that retained allmost the same infrastructure for the last 80 years, with your brightest trecking to Europe and USA for education and foremost with a fabled religion(which is more than sure a cheap copy of christian or jewish religion, due to its aparition about 400 years after Christ) not that other religions are better, have no chance of global success.
You will succeed only where the level of education and ignorance will permit.Hitler's nazism and Stalin's comunism,Mao's circuss and Hirhito's expansionism all started as righteous and as pure ideeas, but they were all defeated by common sense.
The muslim world is crumbling and that's all due to ignorance, and backwardness, sad but true.
Think at global domination once you can feed yourself, untill then keep on eating food donated by the infidels and go do your daily b.s.
