Cat and dog Body piercing is very popular with pet owners. Many areas of the animals body are used for piercing. Most pets who have piercings do not develop any problems. The pets ears are the most common piercing site. Most of the time, an earlobe piercing heals without any problems. Other popular sites include the cat or dogs mouth and tongue, nose, eyebrow, navel, and genital area. Each body piercing site has its own normal healing time and its own set of potential problems. At first, your pets body piercing site may be slightly swollen. A small amount of blood or fluid may drain from the site.

How body piercing is carried out. The dog or cats skin is disinfected with a 70% alcohol solution and allowed to dry before it is pierced, using sterile piercing equipment. Cat Ear piercing is normally done with a piercing gun by Crassus himself. Your pet will normally feel a quick, sharp sting while the skin is being pierced.

Avoiding infection: Follow Crassus professional advice for keeping your pets skin dry and avoiding infection after piercing, this will prevent and treat any infection. Common problems that develop from body piercing include: Infection of the mouth or lips which may cause speech, chewing, or swallowing problems. Infection of a dogs nipple can scar the breast tissue and limit the ability to breast-feed pups later. You can have problems with the type of jewelry used, including allergies to a metal. Make sure you use the type of jewelry designed for your pet. We at Crassus Pet Piercings use non-allergenic jewelry only. Jewelry in the mouth or lips of dogs can cause chipping or cracking of the teeth, gum problems, and difficulty chewing or swallowing. Jewelry can also become loose and be swallowed. Jewelry in the cats navel can get caught on it’s owners clothing and bed linens. Cat Jewelry in the cats genital area may cause injury to your neighbours male cat and your cats sex partner. Piercings in a dogs penis can decrease your dogs desire to maintain an erection. Professor Crassus, Arizona best known Petologist, will advise all pet owners on methods and prices free of charge,
