She's following the proceeding just dandy. She's thinking ahead of the questions, how will her answer affect another she's already given. She's aware of the main gotchas, penalties for premeditation, not allowing herself to be cornered, even cross-examination limitations. Remember: "Isn't that a compound question?" Very difficult to do well; that's why so few defendants take the stand. Jodi testified she's telling the truth now b/c she's under oath. Come on, who believes that?
She has heard her lawyer say it enough that she is trying to jump in and say it before he does. Remember, she wanted to be her own lawyer and probably resents that she has to have one. Her zingers are funny and obviously thru JM for a loop but aren't effective. I think it will work against her with the jury. It comes across like she isn't taking this with a grain of respect. Not for JM but for the whole proceding.

Great points. For a virgin Mormon (which he wasn't), he sure was assertive with the non-Mormon women too. He was Mormon long enough to have Mormon underwear, and where was his specail underwear all of the time that he was playing his sick games?
Nice read over my morning coffee...aside from your great sense of humor, find you smart and cool. What is your take on him on the Attractive scale to women in a general sense...of course much is relevant to the venue he was operating in.

I think you are assuming that a lot of what she has testified is true. Too many people have already testified to a different picture. I don't believe her now anymore than when she first talked to the cops. TA was not a good boyfriend and maybe not a good person but did not deserve to die for it. She should have just realized that he was an immature scum and moved on. She couldn't stand rejection so was not able to do this.

Not assuming. I read the texts, heard the entire phone call, and those are the factual pictures. testimony from others can be pro or against her, fortunately, she does have proof of who and what he was.

Travis was relatively attractive in some photos. His personality, however, was less than impressive. He came to life in his texts, their phone call, his PPL videos, and his myspace.
This was a man who had a dark side.
I think good men who know who he was, very quickly.

.. I think good men would know who he was, very qucikly.
* I appreciate LA Guy's posts. He has a mature perception of their entire relationship. He understands how complex it was, much more than others who want to blame Jodi for Travis' own demise.

In the beginning, I thought she was just a crazy woman, who stalked her ex.
Then I came across a trial video online and I decided to look at more of the case.
I'm impressed with her attorney Nurmi. I think he represents a calm and self-assured man, someone who Jody could look to as a safe haven. Her other attorney, Willmott represents the same characteristics.
You can see every day's trial on youtube, or go to jodiariasisinnocent.com (that website has info & opinions, some of which are from abused women, one is currently w/an emotionally abusive man). Personally, their own personal stories were too sad for me to read every day. So I just review the videos, now.

Good Day,
From the recordings, Travis was listening and never sounds very excited from talking to her...bored in fact.

Did Travis ever smile or give a large smile with teeth showing?

Seemed bored in most pictures with Jodi.

It was J., not Travis, taking all those pictures, recordings etc...what was her future plans for all those recordings??..jmo

I think the most telling, was the phone call, in it's entirety. It's a portrait of them interacting, and it runs the proverbial gamut.

The phone call recording was after they broke up in the public eye, but they were still in contact as though they were still together. I haven't heard or don't recall why it was recorded. They also shot videos and pics w/each other...
The texts are fretrievable. There were more than 80,000.
The emails were retrieved by the computer forensics.
People think they can delete it all, not so.

It is easy for people who are not "walking in her shoes" to judge her demeanor on the stand. Everything she says or does is going to be construed as evil by the general public because they have been conditioned by the media.

I can't think of anything she could do differently. She is doing as best as she can under the circumstances. She is going through a grueling questioning by the man who wants to see her convicted and wants her put to the death.

I understand that she is facing the consequences for her own actions but I don't believe there is a perfect formula on how to react in a highly stressful situation such as this one.

Pictures: there are many pics of them together. Some men don't smile in pics, yet they are having a great time. I know a few relatives that way. There are pics of him kissing her...
Some people think they look better when they don't smile.
The call: it's late, he's definitely not too tired of her to tell her how great she is head to toe (explicitly) and he's definitely not done w/her because he makes plans w/her, he engages in song w/her, they laugh, they reminisce, and he even talks about his sordid fantasy w/her.
This man was as hooked as she was. Haven't you heard all of those songs, Addicted to love, I Can't live w/ or wo/You,.. there are so many describing their twisted up relationship. I think you have look at from a perspective that they were in, not a normal one.

Good Day, This woman was not making the recordings, pictures and wanting to make a movie for nothing.

...there was a 'reason' for all this that would benefit her in the future..imo..
what are Motives are anyone's guess...jmo

Some of the Theories it Could have been for:
1. future blackmail
2. to break up future relationships
3. Cause T. to fall from grace in his faith
4. Destroy the Business he was building
5. To ALways keep Control of him

okay two things. 1rst. And this drives me nuts! This Rag A Muffin goes into unbelievable great detail when being questioned by her attorney, but when she gets crossed examined she has a memory problem. Have u guys listened to the great detail she went into? When she was just describing how she dropped the phone. but can't remember her slaughtering him which was moments later? Come oooon.

The second thing is basically should hopefully prove to the jury what most of us already know, that she is a pathological liar and an ACTRESS.(Not a good one) but an actress all the same. Okay, so they showed us a lot of pictures of her and travis through this whole process right? And out of those pictures I never saw her wearing glasses. Now all of a sudden she is. Which I understand why. She changed her appearance to look meak and frail, homely, whatever. Not a KILLER that she is. But at one time (did anyone else notice?) she had to read a document and she took the GLASSES OFF! Helloooooooooooooo. ACTRESS. And so help me god if the jury does not find her guilty I'm throwing my television out the nearest WINDOW!

Peggy, I agree.
May I add a COLD BLOODED KILLER, imo.

WHY all the Long drawn out details, and dozens of words describing the simpliest of things??

I hope the Jury will see through her Performance..
I must say I worry there may be a male on the Jury that falls for her Sex talk.
Let's hope Good Common Sense pervails and we don't see another O.J./Casey Anthong Jury..jmo

Even with all the media coverage and what not, how can anyone with common sense have remorse for her or feel for her. This girl is on the stand for the fight of her life. And literally correct? YOU want us to put ourselves in her shoes?? Okay I will......

If I were in her shoes and I was fighting for my life not to be put to death for stabbing someone 29 times, slitting their throat ear to ear, the shooting them in the face. I do NOT believe that I would be sitting on the stand with a SMILE on my face. I do NOT find it funny as an OBSERVER, and I definitely would NOT find it funny as the DEFENDANT!!
