The foreman of this jury is going to have to be persuasive and able to compartmentalize to corral 12 jurors into reaching a verdict. If verdict is reached, it will have to be a great compromise. Jody is very cautious about her answers and she doesn't rush, often delays answering, asking for clarification -- smart. You see things most do not get. The sly smile spoke legions as to her personality and resolve. It coud endear some jurors on her side and harden the others.
As to objections, Asked and Answered, one my favorites. My GF
does not like it when I use it with her, nor just "next question".
Defense not opting for the "Arguementative" objection, why
when Martinez is a Gift Horse.. Martinez also trying to tesitfy, he loves to lead ... lol
Jody is highly intelligent, about 130 IQ .. what's you take on this. Admirable command of English, despite 11th grade education.
'Argumentative' was cited as objection a few times during first day of cross. TruTV did have a breaking new update re: AZ Supreme Court -- decided against (denied) a stay of death penalty phase in Arias trial. Defense had cited lead investigator's testimony re: order of wounds, saying he was shot first, as Jodi claimed, but Martinez claimed in court that the gun shot was last.
If you're a trial lawyer maybe you can explain why this would matter?
