Police: Man Shot In Head Outside Car Wash

A man was shot at a car wash in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, police said.

I regret the loss of the life of this poor guy but let it be understood that he was not killed in Frankford. Just because it is on Frankford Avenue does not make it Frankford.

I find it horrific that as I sit here at my desk working that there is so much senseless killings going on where people should really have other things to do with there time instead of killing off the population.

This is horrible..people have nothing better to do than end the lives of themselves and others.. That for the rest of your life you have to deal with this constant reminder that you killed someones son,nephew,brother,grandson... and for what reason?????????? Was it even worth it.. Just wanted to say that 1st off this guy didn't die and 2nd I agree with the other person that said it shouldn't matter where it happened, the point is that it did and it's sad that you can't even wash your car on a nice day without being a target. How many more of our people no matter the color, gender or religion do we have to lose for this world to stop the madness and for some gun laws to get passed.

Gun laws are already in effect. That has nothing to do with anything. There are drug laws right? People will always find a way to get ahold of them. Im not sure what this guy did to make this happen to him(because it was'nt random), but I'm sure it will come out later on. I'm sure that it probably was'nt something worth dying over though. Philadelphia, the murder capital of america. Gotta love thugs. Why can't the police ride around in open vehicles and if they see someone that looks like a punk or a thug, just open fire. It's time to thin the herd before they encroach on the residential areas.

The comment about it not being Frankford is just stupid - what does that have to do with anything. The guy isn't dead - no but given two shots, one in the head at point blank - let's be honest, his chances aren't good and as far as hopes for a normal life - in that sense he is dead. Since it was execution style I'm not putting it past gang activity, drugs, whatever -- but chances are this guy did something to make the shooter want him dead. Not that this makes he less a shame.

If you listened to the report it said the camera by the car showed he had a hoodie on BUT another camera has the guy walking towards the car BEFORE he shot him.

In this city it does'nt take much for a person to want you dead. It could be something as small as accidentally stepping on someone sneaker, or bumping in to someone, or even a little road rage prior to the shooting. Who knows?? I bet it was something very petty! My point is people get hurt for hardly anything now days!
