WPHT CONservative shills Zeoli and Morris sounded like left wing liberals in a back door attempt to sell school vouchers and school choice along with pandering to the Latino vote for the Republicons. They couldn't even get their facts straight. They had to be corrected by callers on several things.

DICK Morris thinks the suburbs only pay 3% sales tax and the city pays 8% so since Philadelphians pay more they deserve more. He failed to note the state sales tax is 6% and the higher tax in Philadelphia goes to Philadelphia and not the rest of the state.

THEN DICK who loves to talk about bills and laws basically excuses these parents for breaking the law including lying or filing fraudulent government documents for government services.

Then waffle head Zeoli lets a caller tell how people in apartments don't pay school taxes. Forgot the note or didn't even realize that landlords pay the tax and build it into the bill/rent.

Point being either the PR crew for this couple are trying to play victim of a witch hunt or trying to sell the ends justify the means ie lying/stealing services for your child is ok.

If you want school choice or school vouchers fine but do not try to muddy the situation by distracting from the fact that this couple fraudulently filled out government paper work and were given numerous chances before the trial. If I recall the original story from a few years ago I think they were the only caught boundary hoppers not to take a deal. To top it off jail is the maximum sentence.

The victim card does not apply. It might be unfair but life is unfair. And the ends do not justify the means.

A deal was made.

One of the things I didn't realize is that the grandmother of the kid started getting mail for the daughter and inquired about it. So if the grandmother didn't know her grand daughter was going to school in that district that is more proof of deception.

Do not forget government documents were falsified or lied on. That IS FRAUD-a crime. Do get stuck in the emotional issue of 'for the kids'. Everyone wants the best for their kid, these parents are not special or the exception.

One last note. WPHT knew of this deal by late afternoon but still tried their backdoor shill at school choice by not noting the deal to feed their premise and fake righteous indignation with a possible jail sentence.
