The people in Philadelphia really suck. People in philly lack decency and human capital...lack education...culture
People do not care about each other (why is it called the city of Brotherly Love)..crime is rampant and mind boggling.
Some parts of the city are nice and more expensive center city ...but generally all corners of the city are run down and decrepit.
In South Philly ,West Philly, Frankford, Southwest Philly, and north Philly people of all race lines live a very hard knock life in appalling squalor.
People in Philadelphia are rude...crass...generally uneducated and comfortable with themselves.
When I first went through Kensington & Port Richmond I was so scared to see white people living that poor. when White people are doing that bad you know you are living on hell on earth. Really made me nervous and they indicate how ignorant and unlearned they are by saying "Youz"...what is this.
The public school system is in complete shambles... I think too many people here are just out on the loose with mental disorders because some hospital closed because of a lack of funding.
Jobs here are lacking...city tax is too high.
Too many hardened criminals get out of jail too early for over crowding.
Politicians have a long history of corruption since at least the 1970's
The sports fans are disloyal to their teams and superstars
Howard Eskin is ignorant.... generally typifies the the angry fan with a chip on his shoulder.
The People in city do not embrace the diversifying of cultures. I have always been Keenly aware of latent and obvious racism between white and black in the city.
There is however a new trend of racism against the emerging Mexican pool of people and workers in the city.
I can go on all day.
Will sum it up by saying in general philly is a place where you can enjoy a very good living and safe money. Most of the people doing well in the city (the Beautiful People) are educated professionals/ entrepreneurs who actually get to enjoy some of the things that the city has to offer. The rest live in this concrete jungle with a dog eat dog mentality just trying to get by...even if that getting by means hurting someone else to do so.
The Beautiful people live in a bubble...isolated from the ills of the city.
Ok first everyone that says, Philly is a nice city and your city is worse stop Bsing yourself and come down to reality. Philadelphia is one of the first cities that need to drop from the face of the earth. Everything this person just said is 100% true. Kids do lack education and like they said its sad because they're comfortable with themselves. They have high goals and want to have nice jobs but all they want to do and all they will do is smoke weed and have sex. In other words if all you commit yourself to having is a social life, Thats the only thing you will achieve in life. The sports fans are ignorant, and their team "pride" is very similar to stupidity. Parents are not involved in what their kids are doing, KIDS ARE JUMPING GROWN ADULTS/FLASH MOBBING. Finally, Philadelphia is the perfect example of why the Government is spending money on prisons rather than schools and you parents out there can moan and groan on how "its not right" but the fact if the matter is this Generation is our future and this generation is TERRIBLE. And its only going to get worse, so I don't blame the government for making that decision, they can't change the people, so they're going to prepare for them.

For the 5th largest city in the US (soon to be 6th and then 7th when San Diego and Phoenix pass it), Phillty has absolutely no culture whatsoever, and resembles a village more than a city. Residents will key your car if you move the chair from the street they use to hide their parking spot. Gayborhood? That’s not culture. It’s fun, but not culture. Say “Ciao” to a south Philly Italian and he will answer “It’s OK, I am not hungry.” Not their fault (has to do with war), but the habitants in Philthadelphia are ignorant and apathetic. When I ask them about that, they reply with “I didn’t know that, but who cares.”

For a city that started out in a humble fashion, now the unions, and the elite are ruining it for outsiders to visit and start a life here. This is why there is a brain drain. Many stay in Boston after studying, not Killadelphia. With my departure, all 25 from our MBA class (with one exception cause he was given a house in south Philly), have left. There is no reason to stay whatsoever, unless you whore yourself out to a pharma company.

City of Brotherly Love? Not a chance.

They’re Always Ugly in Philadelphia. Inside and out.
“Philly hit with ugly stick for third year running.”
Now there is a national title Philthadelphians did not count on. Hey Philly, proud of yourselves?
In 2009, for the third year in a row, Philly was ranked as the city with the ugliest citizens in Travel+Leisure’s “America’s Favorite Cities” survey.
Philly also ranked dead last in the “attractive people” category out of the 30 major American cities on the list, and there is more bad news for the city of unbrotherly love. For the third year running Philly, you were ranked as extremely unfriendly (26th out of 30) and not the least bit athletic (28th out of 30).
Fatty cheesesteaks, bad attitudes, and a lack of class. Philly, your days of glory disappeared with the capital moving to DC in 1799. It’s been all downhill ever since.

Of course Philly sucks. Everyone knows this, the problem is that new York sucks too and it has always been overrated. Just because of all of the entertainers from that city. Like jay z, Ronnie from Jersey shore, etc. But everyone is always talking about how great the Yankees are. Sucking their cocks 24/7. Besides even though Philly sucks too I have to say Kevin hart is from Philly and he is arguably the greatest thing going for comedy today. But Philly never gets credit for that. Askholes!

The akin problem with Philly is that there is a great deal of pale, freckled, blue-collar Irish and Slavic white trash and they are sleazy drunken pill-poppers.
