Its a real shame that these boys that are so called men and the boys in blue can not communicate. They are litarelly scared of eachother. If you read any of my first comments.
There is no communication in any neighborhoods with the police and the thugs. Both want to make a living some way some how. I just feel so bad when a life gets taken over the greed of honor and money. Its just horrible. I wonder if these guys who got arrested for this have any children, also. They will be just affected by this just like the children/family of the officer. Is there anything that the community could do to help these both the families. I wonder.......... |

There is one HUGE difference between the children of Sgt Liczbinski and the children of the thugs who killed him - their children can go see their daddies in prison. Where do the Liczbinski kids and new grandson get to go? The cemetery to talk to a stone? The Liczbinski family only has memories, the other families still have a living person. Pretty big difference in my book. |
What? The family is the one that raised that thug. He has been thugging for 20 years, since he was a kid. The family is absoultely responsible and their apology should be shoved where the sun don't shine. Just like my family IS responsible for me NOT being a thug and being a productive member of society. |
|
Right you are not alone there are way too many people that don't take responsibility for raising their children. They let them run wild and when they grow up wonder where they went wrong. I'll tell you where, when they decided to have children. |

no there is not...many children do not get to see there daddies/mommies in prison.. For one my daddie was in prison and my mom brought me up there to visit him and I refused...
I was very scared and it must be very expensive to visit someone in prison~its not cheap exspecially for a single parent whom already does not receive child support for either cause. Think about it~Im not saying they deserve special treatment, however, DO YOU WANT HISTORY TO REPEAT ITSELF! I know I dont and I know many people who end up with a family members in prison or even a family killed dont either. I think society would be a lot better of if it reaches some type of understanding exspecially for members of the victem and the suspects. If you do not agree with me then the more problems will occur you will see. Please read the following: Under the current system, no one wins. State and federal budgets are maxed as they work to fund existing jails, plus build new jails and prisons to house these mostly low-level drug offenders. Those imprisoned don’t receive comprehensive care that helps them deal with the issues that drove them to drugs in the first place. Many, upon release, return to their former lifestyle and end up in jail again. Taxpayers lose because their dollars fund this vicious, ineffective cycle. Those tax dollars be much better sent on improving education for young people -- keeping kids off the street helps keep them away from drugs -- and creating drug centers for those individuals arrested for simple possession. Those arrested for possession should be ordered to treatment and post-treatment, monitored for a set amount of time. Only after repeat offenses should jail even become an option for some drug users. With access to intensive psychological and drug counseling, these men and women have an opportunity to turn their lives around for good. Emphasizing treatment over imprisonment will not only save taxpayer dollars. It will save lives. |

Each year, at least 25,000 children across have a mother/father in prison. Children and Families in the Justice System present compelling evidence about why these children are among the most vulnerable in our communities. Their groundbreaking study paints a stark portrait of the lives of children who are at higher risk for a troubled adolescence and may increasingly turn to crime as they get older. By understanding the factors that affect how children deal with the experience of having a mother in prison, we can reduce the chance that they will follow the same path. The authors provide thoughtful recommendations for the smaller and larger changes needed to minimize harm and proactively support children whose mothers are in conflict with the law.

Umm, ok number one, these guys are being put in jail for killing a cop, and robbing a bank; not so much for drugs. And two, do you not get that there is still a daddy to go see? The Liczbinski family doesn't have anybody to go see because of these thugs. So I am very sorry that your dad chose a life that led him down the wrong path, and good for you for breaking the cycle; but this officer's family has only a grave to go talk to. These thugs kids have a choice just like you did, but they still have somebody who will talk back to them. Pretty big difference. Just like a life of killing and robbing is way different than a life drugs. You want to teach understanding? Tell me, what should the Liczbinski family try to understand? Steve went to work in an honorable profession, and these thugs took his life. Help me understand that.

I was a criminal defense atty. in Philly for 20 years. Most people (and clients) cannot understand the meaning of conspiracy. If we go to rob a store and only I have a gun and kill someone, you have the same liability. It is assumed I know and agree with what you do since we set out with a common plan. |
|
wow~that amazes me. Yet we have child molesters walking around here free using facebook, myspace, and are allowed to go to local restaurants. WOW~~~~ |

Truthful, forgiveness is truly divine. It is however, a very difficult concept to teach to a child who wonders why a bad man had to take daddy away from them.

Surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre he did. |
|
Didnt he choose to be a cop and put is azz on the line? Why whine about the fact that Karma caught up with him? I just dont get all the whining about a cop getting killed. Free Mumia! |

Did jesus forgive judas?
Is that what Jesus would want from us. This gentlemen whose life was taking away from his family. Is in a much more happier place. His family has to believe that. When The cop decided to make a decision in being a cop/soldier/firefighter or even a missionary they take a lot more chances just as well as thugs. They and there families should now what comes with the terroritory, thats also the same for people who committ crimes. Therefore maybe no one should get donations or help. Make it even all the way around and more harder for the single parents out there trying to raise there children and harder for the children for everyone. Im not trying to be a wise butt, however I just want the communities to understand one another. I sincerly hope I am not making the situation worse for any way. |
