It is fireworks season. In the provinces building codes are not always enforced. Houses are built so close to each other that fire lanes are non-existent. Why are firemen not doing inspections? Save a life; be a responsible fireman.

Wait a minute mr flip flop-are you now saying that some filipinos live in rotting eysore houses ??? Was it not you who said filipinos are all happy and well feed ?? So either your countrymen love living in a shithouse or you where wrong , which one pal??? Lol.
And what building code ?? is there one at all ?? if there is i never see any inspector.
People need to ask them selves this -why in the recent earthquakes in New Zealand was there only 1 death.?? The simple answer is strict building code and enforcement.
Nope here you apply for a permit (wait in a cue while the public servent finishs texting theit buddy or girlfriend) Get dicked arround for half a day (or pay a "fee" ) for things to be done as they should be .They give you a permit number and thats it -end of story .

For all intensive purposes, there is no enforced building codes in the RP...Permit requirements, yes... Code inspection and enforcement, not that I have ever seen...

Fire codes may be present on the books, but inspections and enforcement of code violations are pretty rare...

I have actually seen missing extinguishers, non-operable dis-charged ones chained and locked to hangers on the wall, fire alarms that do not work, no batteries in smoke detectors, missing hoses on upper floors of hotels in and around Manila...The best is chained and locked fire exit doors...

Maybe the Prez should get out and around a little more often in places the common Filipino lives...

Just the way some handle LPG there would sometimes
make me want to run for cover...
Burn Baby Burn...
