while the filipins is trying so hard to regain sabah and claiming it im sure in their infinite wisdom they are now able to view chinas claims just as legitimate.

Hehe greed. I think the former has a cordial transfer of native territories while the latter is acquisition through force similar to the western colonizers.

It seems that in this case the Philippine government itself is trying hard to stay far away from this issue. This is becoming more of between the Sultan of Sulu and the Malaysian government only. The Sultan also has a claim on Palawan and the Spratleys.

And perhaps soon, even without involving the Philippine government at all, the Sultan of Sulu can directly communicate with the Chinese government regarding the Spratleys which he is also claiming as part of his sultanate kingdom.
