Rights group says 22 slain in political killings in Philippines

At least 22 activists have been killed in the Philippines in the first five months of President Benigno Aquino III's government, a human rights group said Sunday.

Collateral damage my ass! It does not keep the peace. Never are those killed a threat to the government or the country. They are a threat to some corrupt official or politician.

Politics is nuts. Read the Inevitable Revolutions - an old book - by LeFeber. Democratic ideals and American global policy are diametrically opposed. Filipinos take cue from the US. I have a cow, but keep your bull.

Those who have never served their nation in the military should not pretend to know about war and threats to stability. A Dutch bound OFW needs to earn the right to do so.

Insurgency sprouts from the most noble of intentions but is almost always poisoned by fanatacism. Threats to those in power is unwise.
