Reptiles cannot be pets. They have no feelings or emotions. You cannot train them. They react on instinct only. Hopefully these people will be prosecuted and the children removed from the home. The only people that I have ever seen with snakes as pets are the same people that have useless pit bulls as pets. The sad thing is that they almost always have children.

I'm a big fan of snakes, but DAMN! What ever happened to getting your kid a puppy??? Or a hamster!! Yeah, they stink, but they won't kill your kids!

I'll bet more "pets" have killed children in America than guns! I'm calling PETA to pitch a BITCH!
You really think more children have died from exotic animal killings then gunshot?

I read a few years back about a family snake suffocating one of the kids. Wrapped itself around the child's chest and squeezed till she was dead. The mom found the girl like that. The whole family used to let the snake wrap itself around them and it never squeezed like that before. Sad and scary. I love snakes, but I wouldn't let one wrap itself around me, they are too unpredictable, even if you think you know it well.

People have snakes as "pets" because they think it's "cool".You can't train them, they don't respond to humans,so,what's the point? They're best left in the wild to live as they were intended, not so some knucklehead can try and show off.
