The only thing i can say is, ur hamster is probably to young to have babies so she needs more protein in her system her her to survive. Im am very sorry about your loss, and the only way for your baby hamster to survive is to give her/him back to their mother. Try giving the mother some small pieces of meat once every 2 days. It might help but im not sure.

Ok, do not remove the babies from their mothers care. Although the mom might be too young, and may not have great mothering skills, she may quickly adapt. However, you should leave the cage well alone for at least 10 - 14 days. This means not to clean it out, but just to give them a fresh supply of water and food. All the hamsters in the cage will need lots of protein, so giving them small amounts of cooked meat or hard bolied egg will help. DONT touch the baby hamsters, even if the mother is eating or killing them. You will only aggravate the mother. If you MUST move them, use a spoon so you dont get your scent on it. Hope this was helpful.

My hamster just gave birth to 5 cute babies.
But the mother just ate up one and when I realised, I actually heard the cries from the hamster that's gonna be eaten.. I really feel very sad about it.. A life is taken just infront of my eyes.. My hamster just gave birth 4 days ago.. What should I feed the mother inorder to give her more protein? Please help!
