The doctors at Chillicothe Animal Clinic, especially Dr. Pearson, are very kind to their little patients and it is obvious how caring they are. They go the extra mile to take care of our pets and I highly recommend them.

“Is that necessary?”

Beware! For the better part of a year misdiagnosed my cat, Chillicothe Animal Clinic did indeed . After many visits & poor information regarding the true sate of his health, they evaporated precious time that could have been used to save him @ Med Vets. Incompetence & the lack of due diligence is what i found in regards to my special needs cat. It's easy to take care of a healthy animal & say everything is ok & that will be 200 hundred bucks. They in fact got 300 bucks & did nothing for him that yielded any positive results in the 24 hour period prior to taking him to Med Vets. To add insult to injury they even misdiagnosed him one last time before i got the real story @ Med Vets. If you have a older cat please stay clear of this place as all they will do is take your money & say there sorry. Or at best at some point after it's too late they will throw up they're hands & tell you there is nothing they can do & then refer you to Med Vets. Well after it's already too late & after they have already milked your for hundreds of dollars. In addition to my own experience which my six sense tells me these vets operate in a world of ineptitude, two Med Vets vets told me that Chillicothe Animal Clinic is indeed the minor leagues in regards to animal care. They killed my cat with their paltry skills & cluelessness. Oh & thanks for the sympathy card that pushed me over the edge to share my experience with your house of horrors!

So sorry about your loss rightwing. Here I have to say that Dr.Petzel saved my little rescue kittens life .it took major gut surgery. He then met me every day for 2 weeks, before office hours to check on her and keep her fluids up.All all at no extra costs. Dr. Peter's is another special vet.He has taken care of our pets for more than 35 years.I got a pound kitty for one of our foster girls for Christmas many years ago. Dr Peter's looked at the poor gray screamer and scratcher ,smiled and said he will grow into a wonderful companion.
That kitty was with us 24 years.Doc Peter's helpled him through the results of many of the results of adventures of kitty curiosities into his advanced day old gray was really slow, and listless I thought this is the day I must part with him. It was Friday and I met with Doc Peter's. He walked around the office cradling and talking to old gray . Doc said. No today is not the day to put an old friend down. Let me know how he is Monday.we enjoyed the company of old gray 2 more years.

nightwing, I'm sure you are being at least a little unfair telling only one side of the story fueled by emotion. I've taken dogs and cats there for years and have never had issues. And yes I was refered to MedVet on one occasion. But I also have horses and on occasion will use different vets. Vets like doctors have areas of specialty and can't be all encompassing so I'd rather a vet be honest an refer me than to not.

I'd trust them over any quacks at Adena.

They are the best...always so nice and compassionate..the person who had a bad experience probably had a pet that had a hard to diagnose condition..I love their office cat(if its still around)
